Google's Implicit definitions Trigger modification and niche porn traffic?

We added implicit triggering, which means you can simply search for [flummox] and find the definition, you don't have to search for [define flummox] or [what is flummox]. We've also improved the definition result snippet to show more details such as parts of speech and pronunciation. Stay tuned for more enhancements here, including an expanded mobile experience.
Time to build those niche-specific glossaries :)

Make it believable by adding pronunciation guides, possible origins, etc.

If you need niche mainstream traffic aka vertical definitions for industry terms for forex, debt consolidation, gaming terms, gambling terms, etc click here for some help

Yep. It would be interesting to get the microniche surfers' feedback re jargon/lingo/slang they developed for your niche. Then build definition pages or glossaries for those. Meme hunting might be worth the effort too.

Fans of a particular niche already have a specific vocabulary to describe the elements of that niche. Maybe the challenge is to develop contests, interactive quizzes, or some form of interactive method of getting this info from them and SERVING them by building pages that speak their "language"? The SE value would be just extra gravy at that point. The main victory is in connecting with the niche's fans, no?

I hate what Google has done with their image search. Why in the world don't they give the surfer an option to use the old interface?
