IE vs Google Chrome vs Firefox

What are the pros and cons. Which of the 3 is the best overall? I think it probably goes...

IE (Over all probably still my favorite)
Google Chrome (Fastest I think, has a few glitches)
Firefox (Don't like it much)

yabate 07-27-2010 10:04 PM

Firefox for everything.
Google chrome sometimes, i have it installed for some stuff.
IE if you want troubles :)

Supz 07-27-2010 10:07 PM

I use google chrome for browsing sites, posting on here, so on so forth. It is the fastest.

I do a lot of my work on Firefox because of the plugins and the download structure.

IE is a complete disaster.

Agreed, ditto for me.

When chrome has most of the plugins I use for FF, I'll ditch FF. I've heard nothing but good things about Chrome

Highest Def 07-28-2010 12:38 AM

I love people that say the reason they use chrome is because it's the fastest. That PR campaign really paid off. Do you guys notice those milliseconds?:1orglaugh

nakeddutch 07-28-2010 12:41 AM

Firefox :thumbsup

Chrome is my favourite for ease of use, ff next and IE needs to sink into the abyss... then ccbill will have to support the other 2 :)

Emil 07-28-2010 01:17 AM

Chrome, it's the fastest.

cardinalvices 07-28-2010 01:19 AM

Don't like Firefox much, rarely use it just to check the sites we produce.

Chrome is my number one choice, lighting fast, super simple, very stable. And it reads my thoughts. When I think "GMAIL" and type www. he already supplements it with www.gmail.com :)

IE8 - Only use it when Chrome experiences problems with showing content. It loads like 5 whole seconds, its just plain terrible.

FF for most things, except the admin center on the server. It was set for IE and we never bother changing it.

Love the spell checker in FF. Otherwise I'd look even a bigger moron. LOL

4pleasure_Davide 07-28-2010 03:30 AM

Google chrome rulez ;) but not 100% compatibel yet :'(

seeandsee 07-28-2010 03:36 AM

Firefox (addons and all on right place)

Chrome (it's too skiny but fast)

IE (what a bad shit, really total failure ie8)

The Duck 07-28-2010 04:38 AM

Use firefox all the time, chrome occasionally.

james_clickmemedia 07-28-2010 04:59 AM

Safari 5 (however its been slow lately)
Chrome
Firefox
any other browser
IE ( Every time I use it reminds me why I hate it).

Lol it is NOTICEABLY faster trust me. Whenever I have to boot up firefox now days (and I am on a high spec PC) it makes me groan because of how slow it is. No PR campaign, I installed it, and noticed the difference. At first I didn't like the UI, as it was a bit different, but the speed simply won me over. For me, nothing even compares.

jesse_adultdatingdollars 07-28-2010 07:19 AM

Yeah I think Chrome wins too...Except its not quit as compatible as IE with some sites. Just starting Firefox for me takes forever. I don't know how anyone can use that browser.

I agree.

Chosen 07-28-2010 07:40 AM

I prefer Opera sometimes use Firefox, haven't tried Chrome yet but I will someday because people like it.
Haven't used IE for many many years...

Dead fucking on man... :thumbsup

If FF didn't have FireBug I'd never use it except to check for crossbrowser compat, LOL

fpaul90 07-28-2010 08:01 AM

Firefox is by far the best, its the most customizable, best security out of the 3 and the fastest, IE is the worst with security, and chrome is in the middle.

I don't have to trust you. I have a computer too.
You bring up a good point though. How often do you have to boot up a browser? I do it once a day at the most. What would I do with that extra second every day? :1orglaugh

Firefox ftw.. Hey, I'm taking part in an argument on the internet. Now THIS is truly a waste of time.

dready 07-28-2010 09:21 AM

I don't trust Google, and MS is shit, so FF 100% for me.

jesse_adultdatingdollars 07-28-2010 10:21 AM

Since I started such a fun debate..how about a few of you dedicated webmasters sign up for my program? :) Dating is still doing pretty well in any browser :)

dirtybaker1331 07-28-2010 11:09 AM

Netscape Navigator!

FreshDVDRich 07-28-2010 11:20 AM

I hate all browsers EXCEPT Firefox, it's the best IMHO!

Naechy 07-28-2010 11:31 AM

Chrome is the fastest one, my choice

michael.kickass 07-28-2010 11:33 AM

Firefox, Chrome, IE in that order and to be honest IE is 4th and Opera third. :2 cents:

Hook, Line and Sinker.

CyberHustler 07-28-2010 11:55 AM

Chrome full-time
Firefox as a backup
Safari on the ipod only
IE just to see if my new sites I launch work for it

PR_Glen 07-28-2010 12:35 PM

i use firefox for the most part, i like chrome but the plugin thing is just too hard to walk away from...

I use IE ALWAYS when checking someones site.. A lot of people still using it and webmasters tend to assume that their customers are more savvy than they are sometimes.

2MuchMark 07-28-2010 09:23 PM

I can't stand IE anymore. It's buggy, it does stupid things, and some pages that should load (100% bug free) simply do not. And for some strange reason, it stopped remembering passwords.

I use Safari for most everything but also like Chrome. I find Firefox to be a little slow and clunky but who knows why.

Mr. Cool Ice 07-29-2010 02:29 AM

Whatever Obama uses is good enough for me.

cubismo 07-29-2010 03:56 AM

i used FF for years but the latest release is sooo slow ... now using chrome and loving it

$5 submissions 07-29-2010 04:06 AM

I started using Chrome. I love it. Nice and clean feel. What I don't like is that you can't turn history off. Have to use it in Incognito mode (Ctrl shift N) :(

NetHorse 07-29-2010 04:08 AM

FireFox and NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR

That's a myth and related to old versions. IE is more safe today than Firefox.

Same for me.
I use Opera, sometines FF. Never IE. Will probably try Chrome just to check how it is...

myneid 07-29-2010 11:02 AM

chrome is definitely the way to go

Tom_PM 07-29-2010 11:15 AM

I am on IE6 right here, right now. Yep. It still works.
