Attention sponsors who are thinking about closing the door.

Couple of things to think about before you close your doors to affiliates..

#1 As an affiliate, I would rather you redirect my pps links to rev share than watch you close and then have to edit all of my pages. We can still work together and how can you fuck up rev share?

#2 Wrongful discharge is when you terminate an employee to avoid paying them.

Stay open,
~Ray

It's not the PPS model that is causing these guys to close down.

Are you just going to leave that comment hanging.. or do you want to tell us what you are talking about?

I mean rev share is older than high pps

Probably because the business model of large programs which have recently shut down is not based on making $ through rebills... rather, fucking over the surfer with prechecked and/or hidden cross sales. That practice is now verboten so their business model went *poof* virtually overnight.

Here's a good thread explaining it. :thumbsup

You can operate a reveshare program if you run it like a business rather than a crack house.

Well, for some program itīs true, for others I donīt think so... there are many programs out there that have been fucking surfers for very long time and they are still doing it....

Yeah their 2001 members areas probably wouldn't perform very well on revshare either.

bdjerk 07-29-2010 07:08 AM

they surely don't think "what are the affiliates gonna think" when making those decisions.

people make those decisions to make their own situation profitable, not yours.

and if you think cross sales are anywhere close to finished, i suggest you look around. they are still EVERYWHERE.

you just need to know what you're doing more now.

While I know some folks that are also affiliates of the adult companies they work for, the vast majority of affiliates are not classified as "employees" and there is no chance of legal action over this issue -- though Michael may want to opine on this.

What say ye Micheal or Chad Knows Law? Is it wrongful discharge?
