A naked woman who fell out of a second-story apartment window in Hawthorne Thursday might have been high on drugs, police said.

Although a man in the apartment was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, no crime may have occurred and he might be released, police said.

Investigators believe the woman is an escort hired from an ad on Craigslist. She allegedly smoked methamphetamine before she tumbled from the window, police said.

The fall was was reported at 4 a.m. in the 13700 block of Lemoli Avenue.

The woman, who might have broken a bone, was hospitalized.
