Hitch hiked around Europe 40 years ago. Don't fancy doing it again. LOL

well, i did similar route 7 years back and now its maybe last time when i have time to do it :) in 10 years i will have also other problems i hope :)

If you hitching north out of Paris (E19), go to Porte de la Chapelle - but you hitch from the fast lane side.

BTW it's illegal to hitch in service stations in France - so you have to approach people walking to their cars and ask for a ride.

When in Paris, just make sure you go to Charles de Gaulle Étolle matro area to look at the Eiffel tower at night. THAT is a pretty impressing view! Don't remember exact what the area or buildings around is called, but.... :)
