A year or so back, I paid around a grand for a banner in rotation with about 30 others. I made less than half my money back, trying 6 sponsors throughout the month.

There are much better places to spend your advertising dollars if your aim is to make money. If it's brand exposure you're after, and don't care about sales, then go for it. Make sure you have the banner on a good server, it gets POUNDED with hits!

We ran a banner ad over a year ago.

you can go nice with hun, but you need to hit right stuff!

I was advertising on the hun using banner for $1100 30 days. Got 3 signups on a teen site. What a joke.

If you want to make money advertising don't go for the pro surfers.

I think they charge the same rates as several years ago, it's really a joke.

They even claim to sell ads on pornno.com, a site which hasn't been updated since 2002, which has been hacked and has a Google malware penalty.

Weird but I actually came across a rate sheet for advertising on the hun like two days ago, cant seem to find it now though. I believe banner rotation spots were 200-500 range and the whole spot for the month was like $1600. Thats all I remember off the top of my head.
