Inception - it's wrecking my mind
I loved the movie, watched it twice on the big screen. But there are things I still don't understand...
1. In the first / last scene, why is Saito very old, but Cobb isn't? 2. How did Cobb come back from the limbo? 3. They didn't plan to go into that 2nd dream with a hotel, right? They went there, because things started going wrong. But how did they plan to get Fletcher into that room and plant the idea without telling him about dreams and stuff? I keep thinking about those and my brain hurts yo, bright fellas of gfy please help :helpme |
Do yourself a favour, and check out the movie again. Don't read any answers people give you here. It's alot more fun to figure it out for yourself. Hint: There's more than 1 way to view the ending which does not necessarily mean the film makers left un-answered questions.
I myself am going back this week to see it again. Can't wait. |

Remember how the time multiplies exponentially while going deeper through each level? Saito got to Limbo before Cobb, so he had been there for like 50 years before Cobb even showed up -- even though it seemed like a few minutes in the level above.

Damn 9.2 on imdb i dont remember seeing movie with such a high rate.

I don't think it deserves 9.2 It was good but there were many better movies before it. For me it was one of those movies that I can appreciate but I never got really into it or cared much about the characters. I would give it a solid 8 on imdb :) Anyway, as for the ending it was pretty obvious to me that at the last second it wobbled and that's a clear indication that it's going to fall, meaning he got back. Well at least that's what I saw :) |
The gun, the train, the crack of the glass of champagne, and the sound of Cobb's totem at the ending...

The whole thing was a chiche' multi-dimensional dream sequence. Very badly done. The plot was transparent and the ending was a forseeable snooze at best. You're better off throwing your money in the toilet.

It was a good movie but the non stop orchestra type music annoyed me.

And there is also this character:

Star Trek TNG: Frame of Mind - now there's a headfuck.
|
Going to see it :)

Haven't seen it yet, but looking forward to it.

Found it boring..
One of those movies that tries to be a mind fuck, but falls flat. IMO. |
SPOILER:
The old dude was in Limbo, remember him saying that 1 hour is like 50 years in there or something. My take is that Cobb didn't make it out, didn't wait for his top to fall over before looking into the faces of his children. He had said previously he would lose himself if he ever allowed it, that's why he turned his head when seeing them before in a dream. They were in like 3 dreams or something. |
