Gallery Submitting? WTF
Ok, So I made my first gallery. I submitted to the hun, which was pretty straight forward. So I searched on google "webmasters submit" and "galleries" and a bunch of sites came up. They all require different things to get listed that mix with other ones.
So I find I can't really submit the same gallery to more than one or two sites. IE. one site requires you open photos in a new window, while another expressly forbids this. Some want recips but I don't want to add them now since the hun and most others say they can tell if you change the gallery after submitting it and will ban you. Do I need like 20 versions of the same gallery or what? Any suggestions? :helpme |
your about 3 years late on the gallery submitting thing the days of it being decent $$$ are gone.
|
No, its for a site... trying to build traffic to this girls website. I am not doing the affiliate gallery posting thing. I think thats what you are talking about anyways...
|
Regardless of why you are doing it.... the galley sub bandwagon is long gone...
It also seems to me that this is the first time you have ever subbed galleys, in which case you may not know what partner accs are. If thats the case do a google search or find someone here who is selling partner accs.... that'll help u get some half-decent traffic. Also, YES you HAVE to duplicate galleries and put recips on the galleires that will be subbed to specific sites. U could save yourself a huge headache and try chameleon submitter. K amaout.... |
Yes, 80-90 variations of the same gallery, or find a list that accept with none (good luck).
Very hard route to follow nowadays if you are starting from scratch. |
just keep it basic...photos open in the same window....and as mentioned above, if you use a submitter program, your life will be a lot easier as it will place recips on the galleries for you.

Use Chameleon Submitter :thumbsup
|
Submitter without partner accounts = waste of time & money
|
you're late to get traffic, try another way :)
|
Chameleon is the way to go if you want to submit galleries, it really does take the stress out but i do have to agree with most of the above - The glory days of galleries are gone.
|
Just in case you haven't considered it you are hosting the galleries so make sure you have the bandwidth to cover it.
There was a time when a Hun listing could eat it up :) |

mm.....just submit ONE gallery to the hun, after that stop.
i think that, unless you have paid submit accounts or using chameleon submitter, manually submitting the rest are not worth your time actually.....it might be a waste of time even with chameleon submitter btw just curious, whats your gallery like ? |

There's still good traffic and sales in gallery submissions. But you have to do it almost every day. One or two galleries a week won't help much.
Since you're a beginner, I would recommend using Chameleon Submitter. That will create the preview thumbnails and replicate your gallery with all the recips in place. It'll submit the gallery to 100's of sites. You don't have to worry about conflicting rules. You'll enter the gallery information, and it'll only submit to the correct sites. It looks a little confusing at first, but just follow the tutorials on their website. Eventually, when you get some experience, you'll want to start getting partner accounts. Some sites offer free PAs and others will charge a monthly fee. But I wouldn't bother with this until you know what you're doing. And if you're going to submit galleries, make sure your hosting plan will handle the traffic load. Galleries will quickly eat up a ton of traffic. You might get stuck with huge overage charges. Or if you're on a shared/virtual plan, your host might suspend your account due to overloading the server. |
hah, what huge traffic are you talking about, you can probably get by with a $10 account with webair or phatservers.

16 pictures, no javascript, html only, no more than 3 external links, not on a php page.
Note that these rules maximize the number of submissions, not the overall result. |
good source of quality in bounds $$$ not really worth the time. maybe try submitting to 10 good quality places that wont take you too long.

TGP owners are spoiled bastards..or..well..they used to be :)

I'll chime in on the Chameleon bit and say that using its Confirmer and Partner Account Requester add-ons will save you a ton of time and energy, that you can then use on building better galleries.
And even today, do not discount the value of text-link TGPs -- although links from some may cause a search engine penalty rather than a boost. :2 cents: |
submit clips to tubes with your url watermarked. fuck galleries.

Welcome to 2003.
