ottopottomouse? Sammiches deal: My experience
Not too many of you guys know me here and too many of you think i'm female just because of my avatar, I am pretty new with this sammich stuff and have a hard time getting simple shit done much of the time, many unnecessary difficulties that come from a general lack of patience and preference for chocolate biscuits.
Bootstrapping a sammich with no cash at all is kind of tough; probably it is not something that is supposed to be done, so when I saw ottopottomouse? Sammiches deal with installments available at 500 a month it seemed like a great opportunity.
I jumped on it, signed the contract and sent off a down-payment pretty quickly. Shortly afterwards ottopottomouse decided to have a suntan competition with someone (think she might win - she's off to Greece) and kept fucking-off out instead of working so I decided that when business was concluded I would write a review of our transaction and post it here.
Here is that review:
I didn?t have the cash to spring for the mature chedder upgrade, so I went with the basic package of cheddar and marmite. I don?t know what I would have gotten with mature chedder, sometimes it's nice and sometimes it just tastes a bit strong really. The only problem I had was opening the marmite jar but that was solved by cam_girls. The guy is totally competent and definitely not a complete fruitcake.
Tesco were very helpful and their bread is amazingly simple to use and modify, even for a guy like me who can?t remember how to hold a spoon without looking it up. Everything the user needs to modify is either in the cutlery draw or the dishwasher so the bread can be modified very quickly. If I get stuck or make a mistake my dog is quick to eat the scraps and I can start again.
The plate is not something I really wanted since I already have a really nice plate but it was part of the deal so I took it. ottopottomouse worked out a lower price on plates after I had already signed the agreement for a higher monthly price and passed the savings on to me immediately. I had already paid for a month of more expensive plates and he credited it on my next bill. This was totally unnecessary since I would have paid the higher price and never known the difference but it shows he?s not trying to make a fast buck but is really interested in building long term relationships. This is something I always look for and try to keep working with people like that while avoiding the other kind.
The plate came in handy later when I got a fork caught in the spinning spray arm of the dishwasher and smashed my favourite one into a million bits. The dishwasher never broke a sweat.
Overall I am happy and impressed with my sammich. I havn't been hungry since eating it and didn't get food poisoning either. I am not going to put the recipe here since I haven?t gotten around to publishing my best selling book yet and I don?t want my laziness made public. (it will be in my sig when I decide to get rid of my far to subtle take on i'm just a sexy girl)
Here is my one observation that may not be apparent to people just getting into the deal:
The bread offered is a standard white loaf so if you were wanting brown bread or even wholemeal you are out of luck unless you go and buy it yourself. It is possible to upgrade to jam sammiches instead of cheese although they will be twice the price and half as good. There is also less jam in the cupboard than cheese so they are likely to run out sooner.
Also I would like to mention that Tesco do quite nice crumpets which are excellent with cheese on. You do this simply, and elegantly in a way that makes it seem ridiculously easy just by putting them under the grill for a few minutes and then sticking the cheese on.
I have already bought additional sammich packages from ottopottomouse and will continue doing business with him in the future..
