LOL... Seems this programs don't want the sales... for whatever reason. Let me start a thread "I can send you 5 sales a month" - and I am sure there will be 10-20 programs that will be "on me".... :)

Well i can tell you that more and more reps dont even reply. Im bring some people 10-30 sales daily and when i asked them something they reply a day later.

Some people dont understand, that money is being made every hour, and when i need something i need it now. By the time they say "hi did you need anything" i already filled up their spots.

That is crazy. I'd like to discuss what you can do for us!

There are too many companies actively looking for traffic. If one isn't working hard for you, try another.

Why don't you try contacting someone higher up the tree than a rep?

If you're bringing the site 20 joins a day =600 a month. You need to be talking to the organ grinder not the monkey. If the boss won't talk to you do your fellow webmasters a favor and name names.

It's interesting to see this thread because it seems to be happening on both sides. I just got off the phone with a program owner who is well respected and been around for a long time. He was telling me that it is nearly impossible lately to get affiliates to send traffic even when his new sites are converting at better than 1:300 in most cases.

He stated that they make announcements, advertise etc and no one signs up to promote. Now I cant send 20-60 sales a day ( wish I had that traffic ), but at 5-7 / day .. he gave me his cell phone... says a lot about the game today.

Its super easy to get people signed up, but affiliates just do not have any traffic anymore.
So getting the ones that can do more than 1 signup pr day consistantly is HARD

I have already said stop talking to the monkey and talk to the organ grinder. In these days any affiliate bringing in 600 sign ups, proper memberships, will have a promoter falling over himself. If he doesn't move your traffic and see how long it is before you get a phone call.

I see these threads all the time and mostly the name of the rep or company are never mentioned. So it it BS or not?

If you want i can show you a log from an icq i have to prove it if you think im bullshitting you including a screenshots of just one program i can send 20-40 sales to. In private, because i dont feel for openly "punishing" anyone.

Theres even people i send a couple hours of testtraffic too and they get 4-5 sales in these couple hours, and when i ask them to bump up the default and very shitty payout a bit higher that tell me to "send more and more and for a week or 3-4" and they will "see what they can do for me".

As for keeping it private. That shows, what ever you're complaining about you're still sending those sponsors traffic and getting sign ups. So they can't be that bad. ;)

If you're not happy with a sponsor move your traffic.

As for not getting your rate bumped for sending a few hours of traffic, this I understand. Rates should vary and automatically go up according to the number of sign ups you got that month.

I've spoken to affiliates who promised me the earth, if I did this and paid that. I tried it and the traffic and sign ups were never as good as promised. But they never agree to going back to the normal rate. And if you tell them "You will go up to that rate if you send that many joins, it's built into the system, they rarely agree with that either.

Actually those that I was talking about, im not sending them traffic anymore. And if im still sending them traffic it would be because im finding similar programs that convert equally and the minute i find them i switch their ads.

I do understand your point about the "few hours" example. But if i can send 10 sales in 5 hours, why would that change when i send longer/more. I really think in an economy where we live in right now, people should be happy to help eachother make money and charish (is that a word) those that are still able to send sales.

My point is i guess, biz is done fast. And if i have to wait 5-6 days to get a simple custom 300x250, im losing out.

And yes, theres still so many sponsors that dont even have the mostused bannersizes, its amazing :winkwink:

:2 cents: also for the ones that make you wait days/weeks to get your fucking account approved just to grab promo content and link codes. I understand some of them need to do this to minimize fraud but if I can't get my account approved within 24hrs then I've either forgotten what I was going to do with it or found another source.

If you're not doing business with them the best way to make sure others know and/or they get their act to together is to name them. Does not have to be a flame, just a "disappointed I could not get what I need at ?????"

Still think the best way to get around the problems of higher payments is a scale where as you send more you get paid more. Not you get paid a set amount before you send the traffic.

If you're losing out on a simple thing like a banner, make one yourself. The delay is probably due to the sponsor not having an in house designer waiting for affiliates to make banners.

The cost of traffic goes way beyond the payments to affiliates. Support costs money as well. The margins sponsors are left with are getting smaller. To spend more on affiliates means less on content, most other costs can't be tampered with. Do you want less spent on what keeps buyers buying in this market today?

The problem is that EVERY program owner says that about every new site. I've taken the bait many times just to see my ratios at 1:4500 or worse. If a new site truly does convert at 1:300 spam away ...

Well i agree with your pov. But it cant be that hard to get a couple standard sized banners in their affiliate program. It would cost less to have it all setup and ready then to have an aff. rep running around that can't oversee the real moneymakers from the ones costing them money.

Or am i asking to much from the "rep" profession?
