Laptop with a good webcam?

Ok, so the partner wants to get a new laptop with a built-in webcam, I've always been told they were shit and I told her we might have to still use a separate webcam. She's looking at portability and being able to have a cam show anywhere, which would prove to be a little different and fun.
So my question is, are there any built in webcams in a laptop that are worth a shit?

I saw on the website they have a 1.3mp camera, but I'm not sure how that translates to video, my cell phone is a 3.3 mp

You can buy small webcams that just sit atop your monitor. Logitect makes nice ones. I would never buy a laptop based on its built in webcam.

The issue with using a built in laptop cam is positioning the cam..its almost impossible to adjust properly for both typing/conversation view and also "show" view..it can be done but its a hassle and far from optimal...webcams don't take up much room for traveling.
Best to have a cam w/ remote control so the performer can do close ups and such with little effort.

Macbook, FTW. It's not about megapixels, it's about lens.
