Has live cams hurt real strip clubs?
 

Curious if more guys are staying home and whacking it vs spending insane amounts in a strip club where they get hustled.

Strip clubs have been dead for years. I was a manager for 3 years and we've have a week or so at a time where it would be super busy, then it would be dead again.

I can tell you that it's hurt the roster of girls at Strip Clubs.

For instance Claudia-Marie was dancing here at Cheetahs in Vegas. But once she started doing webcams...she dropped the dancing. More money doing cams in a couple of hours than being at the club for an entire shift and have to put up with their rules and b.s.

Since that time we've met a couple of dozen girls here in Vegas who have done the same exact thing. One of our other girls Honey White of honeywhitexxx.com is another one.

Once the girls do cams and realize that they can be their own boss from home...the strip clubs with their rules and "house mom" and tip out to the club bullshit are history.

Here's the issue.

Economy started to suck so customers weren't coming in or if they were, they weren't spending as much money.

The girls starting making less so they stopped showing up.

The guys that WERE coming in went to different clubs or stopped going all together because there were less dancers.

Then the quality of dancers went down because the hot girls went off to do other things, or they'd all congregate at one club.

The clubs looked around, saw business sucked and instead of hiring hot girls that knew how to dance, they'd take pretty much anyone willing to take their clothes off.

This hurt business even worse. So they started jacking up drink prices, cover and dance prices, further pissing off customers and in turn hurting the girls bottom line. So the managers thought "shit I went from making 300k a year, now I'm making 30k. I better raise tip outs and just fill this place with women."

It goes on and on.


In reality, first it was the economy. Then it went on to be that sites like craigslist and the like were offering hookers that would blow you for 1/4 of the price of getting an hour long "private show." Then it was poor judgement as a whole by the industry just to let anyone dance. Now guys have two much cheaper options to get off - webcams and hookers. Or hookers with webcams.

It sucks.

I made stupid money my first year as a manager just sitting around and watching TV. The next year I made almost zero money, and the year after that things were starting to get better but the club I was at went through management every 6 months regardless of how they were doing.
