[LIST] 1-5 days Cookie Time CCBILL programs

That's the list of ones: http://www.signbucksdaily.com/marketing/ccbill-cookies/

There's no industry standard for cookie time, but 1-5 days is definitely not enough for 50/50 revshare program (i guess 7 days is ok, a month is perfect. many programs have it set to 255 days - highest possible option for ccbill program). But it's up to you to decide. If you find a program u promote in that list - contact the owner and ask him to increase its time. Once he does this - he needs to send me a line at daizzzySIGNBUCKSDAILYcom and i'll remove him from the list

The bad thing about CCBill company, which doesn't like get itself involved into any issue of that kind, is that default cookie setting is 3 days. If you CCBill guys want better relations with webmasters, set it to 7 days as default (applying for new programs).

it's about customers behavior.
a guy might surf for porn during his work time at tuesday and then join the site at fri night or at saturday.

TheDA 08-12-2010 02:46 AM

seeandsee 08-12-2010 04:26 AM

7 days should be really some minimum, come on lets say people look for porn on weekend, you want your sale if he comes back there next week...

ruff 08-12-2010 04:56 AM

I set the cookies in my program, Aggressive Dollars, for 30 days. Seems like a good time limit.

CCBill Paul 08-12-2010 08:23 AM

The default is 3 days and we have always allowed sponsors to modify this setting in the webmaster admin portal here: Affiliates-->Setup-->Advanced Features or by contacting client support via phone, email, or live chat.

SaddleGals.com sets a 255-day cookie (maximum allowed at CCBill).

MaDalton 08-12-2010 08:48 AM

last time this went into a fight with those affiliates who said long cookie times suck when they send the customer to the same site he has visited months ago

TheDA 08-12-2010 10:15 AM

3 and above I don't really have a problem with, obviously thr longer the better.

But to see a sponsor with a duration less than 3 means they've actually gone in and reduced it.

These are the ones to watch out for :)

thickcash_amo 08-12-2010 10:40 AM

Didnt realize how many ccbil programs are out there. good work daizy

MrDeiz 08-12-2010 11:03 AM

thank you guys

those programs have extended their cookie time and were removed from the list
Hard Glam Cash - 255 days
Dollars Paradise - 7 days

cookies should work for a lifetime. but minimum 30 days :)

cambaby 08-12-2010 01:20 PM

Your cookies are useless, tubes stuff them and take your sales.

TheSenator 08-12-2010 01:53 PM

PeaBody is on that list

Black Ops 08-12-2010 03:36 PM

1) Can someone explain to me how the hell tubes stuff cookies?

2) The cookie is gone as soon as the surfer clicks on someone else promoting that site. 1 day, 7 days, 20, days 90 days... doesn't really seem to matter if they are clicking around.

TheDoc 08-12-2010 03:47 PM

We've split tested 1 day, 3-7 day, then 30, 90 and lifetime. Other than very short, daily and under... did we see a change in tracked sales.

99% of the people, buy that second.. 99% of the 1% left return within 3 days or they forget. We never could see a difference between 7 days through lifetime.

With IP tracking added in, you pickup returns without cookies attached. We figured this was due to people blocking the cookies or deleting them and probably the reason why 7 day-lifetime never really made a noticeable difference in cookies alone.

For the purpose of affiliates and that random guy that might buy months later, set it as long as you can... in the end, it makes affiliates happy and makes no difference either way with the program or sales or profits.

agreed :2 cents:

back to time when it was discussed earlier, program owners used to tell 'it doesn't mean anything', but at the same time their cookies weren't extended

SBJ 08-13-2010 01:39 AM

I have mine set to 45 days at Silent Bucks

redwhiteandblue 08-13-2010 01:56 AM

I don't think it's worth worrying about all that much. I promote a few programs on that list and one of them is one of my best CCBill sponsors, so meh.

MrDeiz 08-13-2010 01:10 PM

Red Cash - 14 days
Panty Revenue - 14 days
Action Grils - 5 days
Angel Cash - 7 days
Alpha Sky Productions - 7 days

MrDeiz 08-14-2010 11:55 AM

Emo Profits - 30 days
Hard Brit Lads - 30 days
Skull Candy Media - 30 days
Krissy 4U - 14 days
Ghost Cash, Butterfly Bucks - 7 days

NaughtyRob 08-14-2010 12:18 PM

Ours was a mistake (new program, new owner, its now 30 days after seeing your thread, thanks for the heads up!)

frank7799 08-14-2010 12:52 PM

I never bothered about it and kept the CCBill default. When I read the thread yesterday, I extended the cookies to 30 days. But I agree with The Doc.

Naechy 08-14-2010 01:17 PM

mynameisjim 08-14-2010 01:39 PM

It's now 30 days at Amateurs Convert

Fraggy 08-14-2010 02:18 PM

This is not correct. Cookies can only be modified by the domain that owns that cookie. A Cookie dropped onto your browser by CCBill cannot be modified by Segpay for example.
