The thing I can't get anybody to answer is HOW the traffic gets redirected, and if it will effect you in the search engines because Google and the like will see what you're doing. That's kind of important.

i redirect hundreds of thousands of mobile hits per month from google and it still keeps coming, so i dont think google cares.

you redirect them by checking their agent tag for certain strings. you can do this either server side with php/asp or you can do it via on page javascript. i use java.
