I just went through 10 of my Amerinoc Tickets and I cant see a response time of more then 13 minutes.

I should have said response / resolution. I mean, If a host can't add a domain for you within the 1st response time you should probably host elsewhere as I would. I just went through the same tickets. Every single one had the first response as the resolution. I am not trying to knock webair as I have never hosted with them. But even in other tickets I have had with Amerinoc, if the response time was 5-10 minutes and they needed more time to fix it. It was still way under the 45 minute mark as the OP was bragging about.

Managed hosts probably have a scripted system that can add a domain to a customer's server with a few parameters and a click... wouldn't it make more sense to just let the customers to do this?

That is called unmanaged hosting. If you want to do it all yourself, then get an unmanaged box.

The price difference is not that big a difference typically, depending on the host, but some people do not want the hassle of doing it themselves. Even though some requests you can handled yourself in 1-15 minutes.

Some clients prefer or want to simply fire off a ticket, and be done with it.

with Webairs custom panel, I can add a domain in seconds, I don't know how it is for a shared account
Same goes with a MySql database, email accounts, just about anything

I have been with Webair for over 6 years. They take care of anything I need done asap. I use the live help as I have a dedicated box. Two thumbs up for Mike and Webair.

Less than an hour to answer and deal with a support ticket impresses the hell out of me ... especially considering that I've been waiting like 20 days for a rep from one affiliate program to answer my last email. LOL

Yep I'd be pissed if it took 40 mins to add a domain. Natnet has always done that for me within 5 mins or less, even at 3am. Hell I asked them to add a new user and 10 domains to it not that long ago, they did it in about 5 minutes.

never tried webair (a friend of mine is hosting with them for years and said they are pretty reliable).

i don't mean to be rude, but have anyone ever tried natnet? i bet they are used to their service in no-time. time for setting up a domain is less than 5 minutes (usually 2-3 minutes). they are also using the support ticket system. my two cents...

I have a managed server with Phatservers and I prefer to add my own domians with DirectAdmin. And they are fast as hell with support for anything else.

I just needed something done with my dedicated server and hit up Webair's live support. It took less than 3 seconds to get a tech on and they did what I asked in less than 2 minutes. Thanks Webair.

Actually, 40 minutes is quite slow. People hosting with Webair have such low expectations.

Sometimes there isn't a control panel and most people don't have a clue without one. It could be they don't want to login and do it themselves if they don't have a control panel. I can understand why some host don't include one by default considering all the vulnerabilities some have or had over the years.

Their support always replied very fast and solved things like no other hosting company I've used in the last 9 years did.
