Who's tried KetelOne Vodka ?
 

Got some at duty free, back from Germany, tasting real good:thumbsup

it's my favorite (when i drink), not as sweet as grey goose.

ive had it, but not straight. Seems to be popular.

More of a tequila guy myself :thumbsup

I use to drink Ketel One until I found Belvedere.

Belvedere is good, but i believe katelone is a higher quality vodka

vodka snobs! lolz, j/k belvedere is what, 25%-30% more expensive than ketel? it doesn't taste 30% better though, imo.

it is the best mixed drink vodka imo. good purchase!

Chopin, Kettle One, Belevedere and Grey Goose are my 4 fav vodkas.

Ketel One is alright, it's not my favorite tho. I prefer Russian Standard, Luksusowa, Grey Goose or Belvedere over KetelOne.

I've had it. Still prefer Goose. If I plan on drinking alot of vodka though and mixing I'll just use Smirnoff. Good enough for me when mixing

meh... you go to a decent liquor store and kettle/goose/etc are one shelf down from the top. if you're at a bar or something, then hell yeah - they're the best you can drink.... but.... if you want to buy good vodka? I dunno... $50~ for a bottle isn't exactly "make a thread on gfy" quality imo.

Most of y'all wouldn't know if ya drinking Grey Goose or Gordons.

I've had it quite a few times but I've always been drinking before so I couldn't tell ya the difference between that and popov or 5 oclock.

Stoli Elit is pretty damn good too

I honestly don't believe anyone that says they can taste the difference in Vodka. I have seen studies where they put all the major vodka's in a blind taste test and like 1 guy out of 10 can tell the difference.

Ketel One is ok straight.

Add some cranberry juice to most vodka and they taste the same....

At 2am in the morning most clear alcohol tastes the same to me.

Kettle One is nice. When a Russian suggested a non Russian Wodka to me then I knew it would be good!

You're missing my point. I wasn't trying to say you were bragging, or KetelOne is crap. I was saying it's not very "special" in relative terms. It's great Vodka, and it's expensive as hell if you're buying it in a bar. However my point was it's not a very unique vodka in the grand scheme of things. You walk into any liqour store in the country and you can buy a bottle of KettleOne. When people talk about vodka, KettleOne is going to come up. It's a pretty standard quality vodka.

The whole making a thread about it is what I found weird. It'd be like making a thread, -Who's tried Heineken?- .... Every single person who drinks beer regularly, and also those who don't drink beer that much. Heineken is a great beer, it's top shelf in a lot of cases. But I simply found it weird you started a thread about it.

Now.. If you were starting a thread on a Vodka I had to google. Or one I tried once, or only bought one bottle of and it sits in the back for special occasions. Then I'd understand.

I have to agree with this for the most part.

I love the taste of good scotch but there is a distinct difference between brands, years, etc.

The only time I drink Vodka is usually in Las Vegas and this is strictly to limit the pain of the inevitable hangover the next morning. Vodka definitely seems to be easier on the system vs the same amount of dark colored liquor.

when I was a bartender, the owner of KetalOne came in the club, it was in the San Fernando valley. He told me the whole story behind it, how it went from father to son father to son, he was pretty cool, gave us 2 bottles, then bought it back buying drinks for customers......can't give away liquor in the US
