Wordpress Plugin Request: Automatically Space Posts
I have searched and searches. I though I found what I was looking for but it turned out to be old and outdated. Based on the reviews, I don't think it ever worked anyway.
I'm looking for a plugin that can control my posting on wordpress sites. Let's say I have a site that I update on Mondays. I write a ton of posts, and for each one, I have to click and type to edit the posting time so that I don't have 30 posts show up in 8 hours. I stretch them out for the week or month. To save a lot of time, I wish there was a plugin that would allow me to set a space in between each posting. Say I could set it for 120 minutes. Now I'd be able to just type and hit publish and keep going. If I finished 8 posts in an hour, it would space them out to be published 2 hours apart. Does anyone know of such a plugin? |
I don't know of one but i'd find it useful too for the same reason.

morphing rss with cyberseo http://www.cyberseo.net/ lets you do this exact thing. you can tell it how many minutes or hours you want the posts spread before they are published.
you simply make a "feeder" blog with the posts, take that blog rss and feed it to the real blog using morphing rss and it will space the posts for you. tell em caligari sent ya! |
Well, Caligari, I have something I use for wordpress tgp sites I maintain, but I don't want to have to make a separate "feeder" blog for these. It seems there should or could be one that handles this within the blog via plugin. I'll keep crossing my fingers.

why not just schedule them for a certain time/date?
you can make future posts |

There has to be someone here who sees how helpful this could be and the demand there is for it. Wow, how simple life would be with this plugin. |
csv import plugins have this, you can import by csv file, and tell how often, how far apart you want the posts.

The only time-saving solution for what I'm trying to do is a plugin that will automatically prevent posts from publishing within X minutes of each other. |
If you use a program like www.blogdesk.org to write posts, you can setup the date and time you would like the post to be published.
|
Again, I no longer want to be forced to manually enter a time and date for each post to be published. When you create 50 posts for a site, in one day, having to enter in a time and date, and remember the time and date from one entry to the next, is taxing.
I can't make this any clearer. I'm looking to AVOID MANUALLY TYPING IN each future post date. Instead, I want a plugin that can automatically make sure no two posts are published closer than X minutes from each other. |

The issue isn't the few seconds of time it takes to change the date/time. You just can't remember jack shit from one post to the next! :upsidedow Open 50 tabs and flip through them setting the date/time before you do any data entry. |
Wow some of you people are idiots.

Not trying to promot anything, or anything like that.
But Mr. Content may be just the type of thing you are looking for. I cant post URL's here as of yet, but you can find it on mr-content.com It allows you to upload zip files, or mass amounts of post, and set the plug-in to drip the content over a set period of time for as long as you need. Hope that helps |

Anyone on here capable of making such a plugin for wordpress that will automatically limit how often posts are published and offers a way to override it if I want something posted immediately?
