DMCA Notices - Do not let them steal your content!
Hello Everyone,
I recently started stepping up DMCA notices and I've found 2 particular entities that download (a lot) from sites, erase the original watermark and then post their on them to drive traffic to their sites. I had one of the site's main sponsor suspend them already and I am working on the second one. If you are a producer or owner of original content, go to ruleporn dot com and see if yours is posted there. They love to steal from amateur sites. They in turn send traffic to their site camhotgirls dot com which is currently being processed by ccbill I've been working with CCBill on the issue but they still have not suspended these thieves. The second entity posts downloaded videos with their watermark on all the major tube sites like xnxx, xhamster, etc. and you can see the blatant theft on here: on xnxx search "rick lee" and look at 90% of the videos on page 2 on that page have the same prick watermarking everyone's content with their penis/stamina site. You'll see they have an wholesale theft operation. I already emailed the affiliate program they were promoting and got suspended. And now I am working with hostgator.com (their host) so they can suspend their service. Do not let these SOBs steal your content and get away with it! we need to fight back because otherwise we won't have a business anymore. |
Good job pal :thumbsup
And yes those rewatermarking pricks are annoying, especially at xnxx and xvideos were they're allowed and upload en masse like 80% of clips. Please keep us informed as to how your fight with them is faring out. |
any time a website has user-generated content, a good DMCA policy should be put into place. obviously, trademarks and copyrights are valuable assets that must be protected

If you are looking for an automated way to police your content you might be interested in what we do here at CopyMotion. Our visual matching technology can find your content even when it has been rebranded with new logos. We see a lot of what you mention. We have seen affiliates uploading full videos of the sites they promote, rather than small clips, and slapping their affiliate website link over the original content owners website logo. A lot of this content is named very simply (think: hot girl <verbs> guy") so the original copyright holder will never discover it through keyword searches. |
re
it's whack-a-mole. Bash one, 5 more pop up.

Use larger, randomly moving watermarks.
They can't crop or cover them all. If they are going to steal it, at least also get your URL or brand on there. |
