I need to send about 50.000 emails, how to do best?

What software should we use, we have had many in the past, but it has been a year or 3 since we last sent out mails. Anything new? Better? Safer? Faster?

there is good thread about mailing here on gfy, digg out, it was done few months ago i think, it was done in those biz series of threads if i remember good

I read the Damian post already. Will check again, I do think these freeware mailclients are messy though. Paid programs seem to be more detailed.
