Do we have a viable third party?
"Tea Party" candidates have some decent positions. Will many of them win? And how many seats does it take for a third-party to really be recognized as a third-party? 5%, 10%, 20%? We have Independents but they aren't really considered a third-party, not a lot of power.
Will the Tea Party even be around for the next cycle? I think they have already lasted longer than most expected. Can they go two more years, pick up more momentum and capture even more seats in 2012? People have complained for years that we need more parties. I wonder if those people still agree with that position, LOL. |
No, the tea party should and will stay in the Rep party. A third party has to pull votes from both sides to become viable.
