DVTimes 09-04-2010 01:01 PM

so there could be still a lot of people affected by this.

Semi-Retired-Dave 09-04-2010 01:02 PM

I was at a GoKart track years ago, and they said they accepted ePassporte. I think its mainstream as well. Not sure if everyone is getting affected.

ContentPimp 09-04-2010 01:02 PM

Mainstream must not be using it else it would be all over the news wires... If paypal pulled this it would headline the ny times!

it would be interesting to know how many people have been affected.

so far i have not had a direct email from them, only programes i promote, so i suspect people may not know.

can you still use the card to buy stuff ass if not a lot of people will get a shock when they go pay for stuff.

ContentPimp 09-04-2010 01:28 PM

Imagine if you are on vacation and epass is your way to your money I feel sorry for those unlucky lads

Vick! 09-04-2010 01:48 PM

I know some mainstream who use it, mainly in the countries where paypal isn't offered.

gaffg 09-04-2010 01:48 PM

For online gambling these are some of the more common payment methods:

Check
Wire
Paypal (except US and currently with about 10-15 gambling affiliate programs)
Neteller (except US & Canada)
Moneybookers (except US)
ewalletXpress
Click2Pay (except US)
EcoCard (except US)
eChecks

Americans are better off with a mix of ewalletXpress, echecks and bank wires although some wires are only for minimums of $500 where ewalletxpress has minimums of $25 to $50

Depending on the program some have more methods and in total there are probably well over 20 ewallets to use but the biggest ones are listed above.

or if its your only card/way to access cash.

DVTimes 09-04-2010 03:05 PM

what i cannot understand is why ePassporte has not yet sent out emails to people (unless they have, but I do not think I got one).

Also how do we know if it was Visa who shut it down.

Lets put it this way, the owner invested 20 million into a film that made a few pounds. How do we know the cash is not just been trasfered to his account?

gaffg 09-04-2010 03:11 PM

Sending email now

you see i do like epass.

i like the idea of it.

even if i was not a webmaster i would still use it.

if paypal did not exsist i would think it would be massive.

i just wonder how many people use it as there main account.

if they go to atm's what message do you get?

gaffg 09-04-2010 07:54 PM

epassporte probably had a good chance to become a larger processor but who knows if funds were mismanaged or not. Perfect opportunity for a competitor to get involved

LOL.

You people obviously don't handle lots of money, or know how to.
it's not like suddenly you can't afford smokes so take money out of your dinner money.

In the real world of business, his movie company goes bankrupt and his processor company is totally separate. And he'll get a nice tax right off as well.
Why in the hell would he lose money on a movie, then bankrupt his successful business, all while committing hundreds of illegal acts and robbing from thousands of people.... I mean think about it, would that make ANY sense at all? really??
