Need a new camera, what's hot?
I need a new camera, not for content but for private use on parties, occasions, trips and such. I am using a Nikon D60 right now (some of you are laughing at this point) and really need to upgrade because that camera just do not cut it anymore.
I am looking at doing the switch to canon and their EOS series. What wisdom can the gfy photography guru's conjure up in this case? :1orglaugh |
i have a canon t1i that is like 699 or something close
but i want the canon t2i that is i think 899 ( not sure ) id love the Canon EOS 5D Mark II..but little too much for me |

I have been checking out the t2i, it's called Canon EOS 550D here and it is the one that looks best so far. |
get one of the new micro four thirds camera. They've got interchangeable lenses.
image quality is not as good as SLR, but it's WAaaaay compact. worth the trade off IMO. I bought a olympua E-pl1 |

I recommend to get a camera that has the following features:
- Bright flash of light to illuminate the picture - Ability to capture sharp picture even when shaking - No red eyes - Zoom in / zoom out - High resolution photograph - Ability to record high resolution video - A lot of memory and space |
any camera u get please stop selling 8000 pics for $8 ....

I like the new Canon 60D

This is the coolest little camera I've seen in a while.
I'm really thinking about getting one for travel: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...al_Camera.html |

the Nikon advantage, even admitted among canon users is the flash system or CLS that Nikon has... canon can't touch that. canon users will also admit that the Nikon focus system is a bit snappier as well. when shooting a 600+ canon or Nikon body with cheap kit glass not really sure any of this would come into play except the pop up flash will possibly produce better images with the Nikon. I've shot Fuji, Nikon and canon since I've been producing content. my experience is that Nikon files can be pushed a bit harder in post. I've read this from other multi system shooter as well. so there is no real 'factual' reason to go with canon and if you're shooting the lower end systems from each manufacture there is no reason to not switch because you have no real investment in either system... for instance I have well 20K in Nikon glass, and 14K in Nikon bodies. that would cause me great 'issues' if I decided I need to shoot canon. :winkwink: |
Same problem here, not sure if I should get the 550d(t2i), or wait for 60D to become available in my country.. or wait for some invoices to clear and go for the 7D :)

The d90 is awesome and can shoot hd video.

I would buy either Canon EOS or Sony Alpha. I'm not specialist but photography is one of my passions. :)
