I just got off the phone with St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank (epassporte)
They say they are working on turning the cards back on. Spoke with an actual account manager at St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank .
cross your fingers p.s. you can call yourself to verify (869) 465-2204 |
you will be the hero if this is true..lol

Was it like the other site where someone posted this:
"Epassporte is working with Visa to resolve the situation." |
I had coffe earlier today with the manager over at St. Kitts and he told me some fucked up things....I hope for some people it aint true tho.
Can't really discuss it furthermore as their lawyer army will kill me if I do. |
I would be shocked if they had said anything else tbh.
|
to be specefic i didnt ask about epassporte i just asked why my visa card had been shutoff, asked to speak to an account manager, he asked for the first digits of the card, heard typing, he asked if it was an epassporte card, i said yes, he said they are working to get the cards back on, i asked if i would need a new card or woud my old one work again , he said the old card would work fine, i asked how long, he said hopefully today.

Did you ask the bank to get your funds out directly from them?

"sorry we don't know what your talking about" or " we can't discuss this matter" "we have shutdown that partner" no reason for the bank to hide the fact someone has become a risk, i'm sure they are happy customers and want to keep it that way. I woud suspect they ( epass ) were dipping a bit deep into the coffers, the bank asked for a larger amount to "hold" and epassporte came up short. Hopefully everything works out quickly. This was just a pressure move to say " either come up with the money or agree to a larger cut to cover whats missing from the deposit " but hey im just guessing. If visa is anything like u.s. customs , maybe they just noticed a misspelled word. |

this was just posted on askdx board:
Update, Sept. 7, 1:07 p.m. ET: Visa just issued the following statement: “At the request of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank (SKNA), on September 2, 2010, Visa blocked network access for prepaid cards issued by SKNA and operated by ePassporte.com to address certain program deficiencies. ePassporte.com is a third-party agent that works with SKNA. “It is important to note that impacted SKNA prepaid cardholders are still able to access their funds through SKNA or SKNA’s agent, ePassporte.com. For more information cardholders should contact SKNA or ePassporte.com. “Visa is committed to maintaining the integrity of its global payment network and routinely conducts due diligence to ensure Visa prepaid programs adhere to the company’s stringent program requirements and controls.” Here VISA Blocks ePassporte — Krebs on Security (http://krebsonsecurity.com/2010/09/v...ks-epassporte/) |

thanks Smokey your post gave me wood :) |
great news

I only have $204 tied up in Epass, so I don't really care - although not having the Virtual Visa would be a huge inconvenience to me - AND I really like using it. Its made my job easier (at least 'tll this month... )
Smokey is one of the few people here that I take at their word. If that is what he said, then that was what he was told. I trust his posts more than I trust my own - because I get drunk and lie sometimes :) |
Well, even if epassporte will get back to where it was, everybody who will still use it will be looking over the shoulder and will think twice before doing anything...
