iPhone 3GS Battery
 

How is the battery on your iPhone 3GS? Mine dies after 3 - 4 hours. I get maybe another 1 - 2 hours if I turn off the wifi.

Getting so tired of this damn battery. I can't wait until the store here gets their batch of iPhone 4's.

I have a 3GS a year old now and my battery works great, I'm surprised by how much power it actually has and I leave all my services turned on

Maybe it's something isolated to my copy. Mine is also a year old actually exactly a year old now.

Only 3 - 4 hours - that sounds like too little time.

If yours is jailbroken try Auto3G in Cydia

If it is under a year old, it will be covered by warranty. Get battery fixed, get new phone next week, sell old phone. Job done.

I've had my 3GS for a year now and it last me a full day of regular use, if I'm playing a game it cuts the life down quite a bit.

I find I have to reboot the phone to disconnect from the web, otherwise I can watch the battery drain. Certain apps like Trapster that run in the background are brutal on it too.

I have a Mophie JuicePak which really makes things better

Mine is good a day with decent usage... I am not happy with it, tho.... In old 2G, it would last 2 days with regular usage w/o problems...

The battery life of my 3G two years after I bought it was terrible. Lasted maybe 1.5 hours if I used the GPS.
Iphone 4 has great battery life so far.

If you have the old OS that might be the reason your battery is such shit. Or perhaps you have a ton of stuf running and or bluetooth enabled. As soon as bluetooth is enabled on my 3gs it sucks the living shit out of my phone.
