Preferred substitute for Epassporte

With the Epass troubles we are looking to add a new payment method and are getting a lot of different requests. We don't want to add a bunch of options so I'm hoping to find that a majority want the same thing. This is primarily for non U.S. affiliates due to check cashing fees. I'm including bank wire as an option in this poll, but I'm really looking for services similar to Epassporte.

Domain Broker 09-10-2010 01:43 PM

OKPay and Payoneer

Webmoney don't have a plastic card and it's only good for people who live in Russia

Why not just wait for another movie mogul with his own bank and production company to start up another processing company with minimal fees and an ATM card on an offshore island?

Seriously, I think Payoneer is gaining an edge over the others if you go by the other threads/posts.

They don't really meet the criteria that I'm looking for currently, but also that's what the "other" option is for.

Thanks. :)

okpay looks ok

faxxaff 09-10-2010 02:16 PM

I still like to get paid by epassporte because I can collect money and withdraw it via wire or ACH for reasonable fees.

I would suggest, you add ACH payouts .... it's free!

pornpf69 09-10-2010 03:19 PM

looks like I will have to open a PAYONERR account...

LeivaMedia 09-10-2010 03:36 PM

For Payonner: For what i know you can't send money to any person. Only Partners can pay affiliates.

For OkPay: yes is possible

Screwed Up 09-10-2010 03:38 PM

Xoom.com
Western Union
MoneyGram

High fees except the first one. But nothing beats instant cash in hand...

Another post which i need to correct:you can send money to payoneer user with your debit/credit card,it's called credit card load and it cost 3.5%.Funny thing is,you can pick will that fee be paid by receiver or sender. It is still unclear can you use same url to send money to another payoneer user, but i will test that once i get my payoneer card.

And i dont like OkPay because they aim to same market which aims liberty reserve and perfect money.

I voted other: PayPal. Fuck everything else. Had my PayPal account for about 11 years with only minor hiccups. They've passed the test of time. Payoneer seems like yet another reincarnation that we've all have seen before... I'm not following the herd.

candyflip 09-10-2010 05:38 PM

I've used Paypal for years and never had any problems with losing money.

It's not like people are using Epassporte for site processing.

Don't be an idiot and you shouldn't ever had issues with Paypal.

Well paypal should do for usa and other countries people where paypal issue debit card or withdraw to local bank account unless you more preffer service with lower fee.

OKPay looks very good.

Payoneer seems cool to.

I've got a payoneer but it's never seen the day because no p2p and not many people use it (or used it) I think OKPay looks best since someone posted about it earlier. Payoneer seems like ePass locked down. i.e. no p2p and not very easy to use by the look of it.

miroz 09-10-2010 06:33 PM

WebMoney and Payoneer.

WebMoney:
1) It's not only for Russia but you can cash it in many countries (USA, Thailand, Germany and so on)
2) They DO have cards
3) They DO p2p transactions (you can pay for design, hosting, domains and so on).

I like Payoneer either but they DON'T do p2p transactions and if program who issued card for your will dead your card will dead as well. Don't forget it.

The problem is If i have to jump ship i need to be able to do the exact same things i could with epass which is the visa wallet and Payoneer seem to be the best choice for that however how many others use it?

I don't think most of us would want to send ID to any Russian to get a card.

okpay:

Regardless of what particular type of e-commerce you engage in -- B2B, B2C, C2B or C2C -- with OKPAY you will be able to make and receive payments to and from both organizations and private individuals. The OKPAY Debit Card is a prepaid MasterCard®. MasterCard and the MasterCard brand mark are registered trademarks of MasterCard International Inc. This means that the OKPAY Debit Card can be used in over a hundred countries wherever you see the MasterCard® logo.

Our Tariffs
Card loading $8.00
ATM withdrawal 2% (min. $3, max. $15)
POS transaction US$1.00 per transaction only
Non-financial transaction/decline $0.40
Exchange rate for transactions in other currencies Changed daily to reflect currency rates

If the Card remains inactive for 180 consecutive days, there is a monthly dormancy fee (not charged in full if this would render the balance negative):
during the 1st year $10.00
during the 2nd year $17.50
during the 3rd year $25.00

so you can do p2p transfers, and they offer atm mc cards

Great to hear. WebMoney is very popular and the couple foreign (outside the US) sponsors I use offer payment through them.

Good to hear the card they offer works in the US. Their site is kind of US user unfriendly. Not terrible but a bit odd. I looked at it the other day and after 15 mins and revisiting it 3 times figured it was not for the US really. lol Great job of selling me.

But OK, good to hear it is indeed for us Yanks. Great news. Thanks. :thumbsup

Nice info. Looks good. I'll have to see who pays with them. Thanks.

I have never seen any sponsor foreign or domestic offer Payoneer as a payment option which is why I was totally unfamiliar with it.

Now maybe there are but yeah that is the problem. You may have to join 3 services to do what EP used to do.

How about all foreign (outside the US) sponsors cutting your wire minimums in half for three months :)

Or for that matter all sponsors. (Sorry to be so US centric. :) )

Raise the fee and cut the minimum. That would help the cause big time.

Yes. The main url is https://cards.webmoney.ru/

Most of it seems to have also been translated but there is a lot of Russian along the way even on the English tour:

https://cards.wmtransfer.com/en

They also have 4 cards. 3 say they are for the US. You click any and you get a 100% Russian page. Perhaps after joining and logging in you will get better instructions on wtf to do but right now webmoney.ru is really hard to figure out.

When you click an English link from the "English site" and it goes to a 100% Russian page that really inspires confidence.

That method would be for now... wires. I'm just going to go with wires for my couple foreign sponsors.

These foreign pay services are very daunting.

Could be tough for guys outside the US who do not post big numbers every period. You guys may have to go back to check, maybe up your minimums to save fees and perhaps consolidate your traffic to fewer sponsors.

I do not have a good feeling about webmoney and take a look at okpay.com's "partners".....

https://www.okpay.com/en/partners/exchangers.html

What could possibly go wrong with such prestigious partners in such low risk countries eh?

You forgot about Alert Pay which is one of the best.:2 cents:

Pryda 09-11-2010 03:30 PM

No Payoneer please, their support sucks bigtime.

facialfreak 09-11-2010 03:31 PM

regarding AlertPay .... you do have to verify your account if you are using it for adult-related transactions, but the verification process is extremely painless - took 4 days for the micro deposits to hit my bank and CC, and VOILA - I'm accepting payments and everything is awesome! and I called customer support twice already, just to see how their support is handled, and was very impressed!

It's a real shame that it took shit hitting the fan with ePassporte for me to find AlertPay .. :(
