Will Epassporte pay what they owe?

See thread title.

beta-tester 09-11-2010 04:59 AM

I strongly believe they will!!

Jarmusch 09-11-2010 05:01 AM

Depends on if you're talking about the funds in the wallets or the funds in the virtual visas.

Either way the funds are funds owed.

money biz 09-11-2010 05:06 AM

no i was fucked by paysystems. Even when they said they would pay me my money they didnt.

just a punk 09-11-2010 05:06 AM

Who knows?

pixovore 09-11-2010 05:09 AM

I have faith, they will...

martinsc 09-11-2010 05:11 AM

I'm pretty sure they will eventually pay all they owe and get back to business as usual....

Argos88 09-11-2010 05:12 AM

If a problem like this doesn't get resolved during the first 48 hours, there are 50% chances it will not be resolved, EVER.

If a problem like this doesn't get resolved during the first WEEK, there are 80% chances it will not be resolved, EVER.

If a problem like this doesn't get resolved during the first month, there are 99% chances it will not be resolved, EVER.

AVN said it was going to be resolved this week... Well, last week, because today is saturday. So, take your own conclusions.

beta-tester 09-11-2010 05:34 AM

To all of you who think ePass will go out of biz and won't pay people, think twice. If that was their original intention, they wouldn't bother for a second to:

1) Answer people's mails
2) Post on forums
3) Sending people's money back - so far ACH, direct deposit to card worked
4) Wiring back people's money - wire is in progress, but I am sure people will get their money.

Just use your logic and common sense and stop whining. ePassporte is a huge company, company worth tens of millions. This situation could've happened to any company in the world and it happens on a daily basis. That doesn't mean for a second that company won't continue its business.

Yes, it can take some time - but in the end what matters is that they will continue their operations!

FighterSpirit 09-11-2010 05:36 AM

I think yes

Well written, and a great point. However, I have to admit that their consumer confidence levels have pretty much bottomed out from what I am reading from everyone. Even if they do manage to cash everyone out, do you think that they will be able to survive a shit storm like this? I honestly hope you are right.

Yes.

Because people tend to forget bad things when good things happen. Once ePass is restored I can bet that 98% of those pissed customers will be back and continue doing business as usual.
I am really hit with the situation myself, but if I lose confidence what else am I left with? Or better, what am I left without - my money!
So, my advice for everyone is to calm down and wait. This will be resolved! :thumbsup

Horny Joe 09-11-2010 10:23 AM

I have hope! Waiting for first word about wires received! And, I will continue to use them if all is sorted out.

signupdamnit 09-11-2010 10:24 AM

I pretended the question was this since yours seemed a bit vague:

"Will 80%+ of the posters here get all the money due to them within 30 days?"

I lean towards "No" so I voted accordingly.

CyberHustler 09-11-2010 10:32 AM

Fuck no...

gooddomains 09-11-2010 10:37 AM

scarlettcontent 09-11-2010 12:35 PM

yes they will pay

Roby 09-11-2010 01:04 PM

yes they will

Carmen80 09-11-2010 01:27 PM

Yes.. and I really hope so.

Whatever happens I am glad for all the years I got to use them. I'll loose a few grand, but thinking about how much money I've been able to get because of epass, the money I will loose is negligible.

nikki99 09-11-2010 01:32 PM

can I go myself in person to st kitts and nevis island and talk to the bank and ask for cash or a check?

Yes because I'm not retarded and realize losses is a fact so I fucking count on them and don't store all my money on a website.

Epass closes? You wont see me here crying about my rent.

Davy 09-11-2010 03:03 PM

the results are about 50/50 right now.

ThumbLord 09-11-2010 03:59 PM

I do not think we will see an solution soon, my gut feeling says we will not see a dime, the people that have money on VV that is.
I hope I am wrong though.

Forkbeard 09-11-2010 04:05 PM

I was reasonably confident it was just a bump in the road for the first week. But then the long-awaited "statement" that contained no new info got released, and they went silent and stopped commenting. I find those two things very ominous; to me, it spells them being in a hole they don't see a way out of.

wild johnny 09-11-2010 04:07 PM

We can only hope that they do the right thing.

Yep. I beleive they will. Like the facts point out they are not a company that is acting like theyre running.

wolfshade 09-11-2010 04:47 PM

As far as Epassporte is concerned: I hate to tell you all I told you so, but I told you so right when they started.

Now enjoy the ride.
