Epassporte NEWS?

Any news on what they are "working on" with visa?

I assume at this point that it's all in the shitter. But since they have said our money is there, it is just visa issue, when are they going to disperse our funds??

I'll give it 30 days, but if they're not already in the process of figuring out how to pay people out with checks or something at this point I assume they will be keeping everyone's funds that were not in this "wallet."

Any SERIOUS news other than the anti sites and crusades people are on? Threaten them all you want, they've got our money and really nobody is going to chase and sue them for a few hundred bucks. I just wonder if the epass people are going to pay out and save face or take the money and run. There are always visa fines in these scenarios, and guess what money they use to pay them when visa lays the smack down....

Carmen80 09-14-2010 10:03 AM

Latest news is that the funds are safe and in motion. Don't worry :thumbsup

cherrylula 09-14-2010 10:04 AM

They are not working with VISA. The problem is with their bank. VISA only shut them down on their banks request.

Cyandin 09-14-2010 10:08 AM

What I read is they are trying to find a solution to the visa issue.

If the bank shut them down, if their bank asked visa to shut them down, obviously they now have an issue with visa. Visa doesn't just say "oh ok you want us to shut them down, no prob." Visa finds a REASON, maybe the bank informed them, but obviously they broke some rules and are now have issues with visa.

If it was just a bank problem they should be up and running with another bank by now. It is silly to say its one or the other when the bank and visa work hand in hand to process money.

There are thousands of banks, yet one VISA. Visa pulled the plug, not the bank. Their spin is spin.

There was a few posts around from Michael O if you can find them among the hating. They are still working on it and that's the best we know for now.

I will try and find those and if you message me I will pass them on. ICQ is in my sig.

thanks, but he is just a board rep. If the company really wanted to save face with this crowd they would already have someone more important step in and post.

The writing is definitely on the wall at this point imo.

But thanks for your input, I do appreciate it. I don't really do icq these days.

good luck to the weiners lol

Yes. I get this message now! This mean, "forget about your money and keep moving forward"!

Please be notified that ePassporte has set your e-Wallet as Default Credit
and Debit Fund, you will be able to receive the future payments into your
e-Wallet and withdraw them to your Personal Bank Account through Bank Wire
Transfer. If you have a Visa or MasterCard Credit/Debit Card or a US
Checking Account, then you can register and verify it to withdraw the
funds to the respective Accounts.

No news! It sucks!

Raven 09-14-2010 11:48 AM

very simple.

money in wallet can be wired or ach'd.

money in virtual visa is with sypro, dmr, wts, globill and ibill.

Barry-xlovecam 09-14-2010 11:51 AM

Assuming this is actually authentic; maybe, could be, etc.

1.) This is part of an email claimed to be received by someone associated with a law office.

2.) I have not received a copy of the email nor inspected the headers of this said email.

3.) I cannot guarantee that this email is authentic.

4.) The below is a part of what I read that was posted to another board
.

Quote:

[I apologize] for what has happened. ePassporte is working very hard with our Bank for a resolution for all our cardholders affected by Visa's decision to turn off ePassporte's Visa functionality, which means that funds from your client?s Electron and Virtual Cards are temporarily inaccessible. We believe that we will have a resolution in the near future. We will contact all cardholders as soon as we have any update.

Let me reassure you that Roberta's money is safe at our Bank. St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank holds her funds, and is working with Visa to restore the Visa Card functionality so our cardholders can use their Visa Cards to withdraw their funds. We are also investigating alternative methods/solutions for our cardholders to withdraw their funds, in case Visa does not turn on the Visa functionality. ...

In light of the evasive responses that "ePassporte Card Holders" have received, we are relegated to relying on very sketchy information.

Assuming this is actually authentic; maybe, could be, etc.

The grammar and punctuation is correct anyway.

WRONG ...

Visa international doesn't need any reason at all ...

St. Kitts bank is their merchant bank and when their merchant wants to suspend cards x to y then visa international will do that ... And they won't ask any questions at all.

So this is NOT a visa international problem.

This is a problem between epassporte and St. Kitts bank.

Why did bank ask visa to suspend? Cannot bank just temporary disable cards from their end?

"no news is good news" definitely does count in this situation :helpme

Sounds like some people have a little more than " a few hundred bucks" tied up.

So what happened to Fletch, did you fall off the boat in the gulf and get eaten by a sea turtle covered in oil ?
