I can't wait...!! |
"Rally to Restore Sanity" - it reminds me of the old lady character in Diablo II. She says, "sanity is in short supply here." (She comes in at one of the later levels.)
|
I saw that on the show last night and thought it was great. One of their sample protest signs was along the lines of "I don't agree with you but I don't think you're actually Hitler."

We are thinking of going.
|
Same here. I think an "Adult Webmasters in Support of Sanity" road trip would be in order.
Teabaggers are sure to protest but maybe we can find some hotties and convince them to do porn. |
People actually take those 2 douchebags seriously? lol... almost as bad as taking Glenn Beck seriously...

If there's a Stewart/Colbert ticket in 2012 I'm becoming a US citizen just so I can vote.
Not sure which for president and which for VP though. |

We're actually sort of local so I haven't really thought much about that.
DC is about 50 miles south of us, so it's an easy drive or train ride down there. I'll get in touch with you in the next day or so on icq. |
i might be going to this

well, I think people take Colbert and Stewart as serious comedians (oxymoron?!) since they themselves claim only to be entertainers/comedians. The only difference with Beck is he DOES take himself seriously...lol |

There's a great video of that Fox idiot Neil Cavuto lying about the size of the Tea Party attendance.
Go to this URL : http://www.dailykos.com/tv/w/001168/ He Estimates the size of the crowd at only 5000 people while talking to his producer, but then openly inflates it to 15,000 on-air to people that trust him to report the news. What a piece of shit. |

Looks like we are renting a coach bus go head down to this. Anyone interested in a ride, we are leaving from our office, which is located just north of Baltimore. We'll leave the morning of the rally and head back afterwards. Anyone who wants in, drop me a line at [email protected], BYOB for the bus. Should be a good time!

really i think their both pretty centrist, they diss just about anyone and they definitely dont fit repub or democrat molds. it would be great if they actually started the "sanity party." i would go for that, but only if they had the occasional "back to insanity" hootenanny;) |
here's the numbers
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/1..._n_776547.html :thumbsup The Rally to Restore Sanity has come to a close, and crowd estimates are beginning to trickle in. It is clear that a huge number of people attended the event (see photos from the rally here), but the calculations vary among sources. According to CBS News, 215,000 people showed up for the rally on Saturday. By comparison, CBS estimated that 87,000 -- just 40% of the Sanity Rally estimation -- attended Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally in August. Canada's CTV, meanwhile, wrote that 250,000 people were estimated to have partaken in the Rally to Restore Sanity. Earlier on Saturday, Brian Stelter tweeted that the Parks Service approximated that "well over 200,000" attended Saturday's rally. For full coverage of the rally, check out HuffPost's comprehensive live blog of the event, including videos, photos and more. |
