MORE EPASSPORTE DRAMA | WTF is Fund Protection Mode????
Today I tried to withdraw my funds to a bank account, since epass is not cooperating with my Mastercard .... I jumped through hoops to get it activated, and when I dry to withdraw, it DECLINES ME!!!
The useless twat waffles at the customer service phone number said it will take them another 7-10 business days to look into this matter ... Well it is now September 21, and I have bills I have to pay ... so I tried to withdraw my cash to my bank account. Now my account is "placed in a temporary Funds Protection Mode" I am so frustrated it is not funny!!!! I thought we were supposed to be able to access money in our epass WALLET???? And Michael O. is ignoring my ICQ's and emails .... What gives Epass? |
I feel your pain.. Hey at least they fixed phone support :)
|
Michael O must be on Xanax with all the stress right now...
|
I get that also ?!?!?!?!?!?

You might have been asked for documents on the Upload Documents page if so please upload the requested documents. |
As someone who has been through this .... Fund protection mode is to insure no one (other than the rightful owner) gets access to those funds.
It is protection for you that someone could not pretend to be you and attempt to withdraw the funds. Pending proof of you identification the funds are locked. I know that seems to be adding "insult to injury" in these circumstances but, to me, once again it shows E-Pass is trying to protect your money and eventually all will be released. |

can you please chek that |
Same happened to me.
|
I uploaded all the documents .... and my Mastercard is listed and says ACTIVE
however the expiry date says 01/2012 .... it should be 05/12 (how do they fuck that up with a picture of the front and back of my card in their hand?!?) when I try to withdraw to it, I get the following: Your transaction has been declined by ePassporte. Instructions on how to manually verify your credit card have been sent to your ePassporte Message Center Inbox. Please click on the Message Center button. and of course there was no further instructions in my inbox ... Now it says my account is in "Funds Protection Mode" ...... I resent the email also :( |
the funds are being protected from you!

Its now the 21st of September, and I have debtors from the beginning of the month still harassing me!! Michael has been there for me in the past and has always got things sorted, but now I fear the scope of this is even too big for Michael to handle ... :Oh crap |
Funds Protection Mode??? wtf!!!
|
I have no dog in this fight as I didn't lose any money with them, thank God, but I don't understand why you guys have to keep sending documents to them if you have already done so in the past. Seems odd. How many times do you have to prove you who are?
Sending documents, lack of contact, call center goes down, send more documents... Looks like they are buying time or at the very least keeping you busy and occupied to give the illusion something is happening. Then again, I've read a few guys got their wire, so who knows? I hope everyone gets their money and Epass comes out on top of all of this. It's a bad situation for all. |

Same thing happened to me when I added a bank account to withdraw my small amount of money into my bank from my wallet. They seem to be doing this to a lot of people and taking quite some time to review the documents to take the account out of fund protection mode. You think they would have bigger problems then locking up lets say, under 100 dollars in someones wallet account and preventing them from withdrawing money, sounds like a stall tactic to me. Nevertheless, hoping they'll clear it up soon, waiting weeks to get a bank account and documents approved to make a small ach withdrawal is ridiculous. :(

I need to be able to get the money that is due to me, so I can pay my bills ... comprendé? HERE'S YOUR SIGN! :Oh crap |
that must be the new bank account they're putting everyone's money in.... don't worry, its safe! you might never see it again but its cozy and warm and protected now. lol

"Proteceted Mode" doesn't refer to the state of your funds, it refers to the condition which Malllick, et. al., have assumed through their new position of of "PERSONAL "protected Mode":

I hope you can understand that I am not interested in supplying access details for an additional credit card(Visa/MasterCard) to ePass while everything is so screwed up with the current ePass cards. :error |

Also: needing the money from epass(every accountholder now needs his money) is different from *depending* on it. And I wasn't talking Epass in specific. Was talking in general. The fact is: I'd rather depend on -for example- a CCBill check than Epass/Payoneer/whatever because they can hold your account instantly and they have in the past, leaving you dead in the water with your bills. I really do hope everybody gets their money back in the matter of Epass |

Funds Protection Mode gets activated when Epass becomes concerned about your spending habits. They want you to enjoy your earnings in Epass and not waste them on frivolous purchases, so they lock the money down for a brief period. This in turn puts you behind on your bills so that when the funds become unprotected you'll be forced to spend the money only on things you really have to. Just another way Epass goes above and beyond to look out for your well being.
