***PussyCash NFL Pickem Pool Week TWO results...

What a week! A 2nd loss for a quarter of the league's teams including Dallas, Minnesota, and my beloved 49ers. Speaking of SF that was one hell of a Monday Nighter last night, with the niners losing by a FG in the final 2 seconds of play. Not too shab an outing against the defending SB champions NO. Nice wins for the Steelers, Dolphins, Bears, and an especially fine win for the NYJets over the Patriots (which I did not see coming).

This week's pool winner is adamneve (Adam fr Pussycash), so he has graciously deferred the weekly prize to the player with the next highest score.
SOoooOO...

The winner of week 2 in the PUSSYCA$H NFL Pickem Pool is greenguy,

So glad you guys do this, makes the football season even more fun. :)

Week 3 picks just went live a little while ago, everyone can log in and make theirs anytime between now and noon EST on Sunday.

Weeks 1 & 2 were tricky. I think week 3 may be a little easier to make picks. NOT! :D

Good luck everyone.

DateDoc 09-21-2010 04:58 PM

I forgot to put my picks in. Well, actually, I was 20 minutes too late to do so. This weeks picks are already in. :)

LeRoy 09-21-2010 05:08 PM

Yah it sux if you miss a week.

I remember about 4 years ago some guy joined the pool late and missed week 1. His picks did really well though and when the Grand Prize was awarded he ended up coming in 2nd place over all.

So even if you miss a week, anything is possible.

CDSmith yeah very interesting results in 1 and 2 weeks,i hope will be better this week, and maybe Vikings will win this time :) i'm surprised of Miami they play very nice, only NO and G Bay keeps the game from last year.

heh, well NO got lucky last night, San Francisco beat themselves on that one.
The Saints are my primary team (although I am a Vikes fan as well) but they have been looking shaky so far. Brees hasn't done much and last night he looked pretty mediocre.
And now Reggie Bush is out for 6 weeks with a broken leg...not good at all.

I don't watch last game but i'm sorry for Bush ,well that will be a big problem for Saints ,i agree, Brees dont showing his potentials but i think he can't forget to play i hope this is only bad start for him and he will find his game as a last season.I like Saints and i hope they will win again this year, but G.Bay looks powerful :)

Si 09-21-2010 06:27 PM

I tanked it :(

Thought my picks were solid. Holding on the first page though!

xxweekxx 09-21-2010 06:29 PM

imagine if green guy laid down 1k on each of his picks.. he woulda been up around 10k now

CDSmith 09-22-2010 06:38 AM

Just a reminder, as of yesterday picks for week 3 are live.

Don't forget to make yours.

Also, if you make your picks but get timed out, here's a tip:

If you get a "timed out" error message after you submit your picks, check your picks by clicking "My Picks" first (instead of simply making your picks all over again from scratch), just to make sure yours got registered. It's a hell of a lot less annoying than having to make them all over again.

And whenever that does happen make sure you record your Picks confirmation ID #, which is shown just above your picks each week (right after you make them the # is there). That way if anything does happen like your picks "disappearing" (as some have complained about here or there) you can submit that # to poolhost and they should be able to look after the problem.

Good luck in week 3 everyone.

Anyone who underestimates the Niners this year does so at their own peril. :2 cents:

quite true. if they held onto the ball they would have won that game.
they have a good QB and running game as well.
Singletary needs to give the guys who fumbled a football, tie it to them and make them run around the streets of san francisco for a few hours:1orglaugh

CDSmith 09-22-2010 12:32 PM

Absolutely. Singletary will be all over the mistakes for sure.

Had they caught (and/or held onto) just a few more balls during the game they would have cinched it. Very good showing against the defending champions though. If they can keep that level of play going AND improve on it AND get rid of the fumbles they will be putting some wins up shortly.

Gore was a machine in the NO game.

Gore was very impressive- on the NO side with Bush out for 6 weeks that just put another dent in their armor. I still think they will beat the falcons this weekend but they really need to snap out of whatever funk they are currently in.

I have serious doubts about that.

So noted. But I've watched them closely so far and although I'm seeing the wins I'm not seeing the absolute powerhouse team playing at the top of their game so far. The Falcons on the other hand look strong. Look at the spread, it should be -8 or -10 but it's only -4.5.

I'm probably wrong but we'll see. I think if NO wins it might again be by the narrowest of margins.

CDSmith 09-24-2010 10:04 AM

Roughly 48 hours to go now until the start of week 3's games.

Get your picks in!

CDSmith 09-26-2010 07:31 AM

Last call. Cutoff for picks in less than 2 hrs.

Good luck in week 3 everyone.
