I have heard about amazing trains. These trains levitate above the train track by a few centimeters. Why do they levitate? Because some magnets push each other away instead of attracting each other. What happens is one magnet levitates above another.

yes, i have seen them in japan

ok thanks?

This was my idea about 10 years ago, my partner said it would take too much work to make happen. Living in LA, Southwest is killing it. A party train from LA to Vegas would rock, maybe make one or two stops on the way.

5:30 hours? Way too long, my idea was under 2 Hours. You can drive it in 4 taking your time.

Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc., formerly Liberty Capital Asset Management, Inc, is a business development company, which is focused on re-establishing a rail passenger train service between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The development concept is to provide a Las Vegas style experience on the train, which would traverse the planned route in approximately 5:30 hours. The Company acquired Las Vegas Railway Express (LVRE) in January 2010. LVRE is a development-stage company. The Company has hired Transportation Management Services, Inc. for the procurement of 20 bi-level railcars and locomotives. Prior to January 21, 2010, the Company had been engaged in acquiring underperforming mortgage loan portfolios and generating revenues from re-performing, sale of loans and fee revenue. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010, the Company had not generated any revenue associated with the railcar operations.

$307,000 per share, could be a steal too, cheapest it's been in years. ;)

Hey if you're going to buy into that XTRN for 100 shares ($34?) then first re-think that, as you won't be able to afford the fees.

Then buy here and there, as you can see there's huge variances.. Just today you could have bought it for $0.31 instead of $0.34, which is a big difference.

Nice that it's held its gains for over a week. Usually penny stocks go up and then right back down as scared money from previous buys gets out on the uptick.

Also after you buy, spam the idea, this seems like something a lot of casual investors would get into blindly

What I heard about it was that it wasn't going to go to Los Angeles. It's supposed to go to some town like 30 miles out of L.A. :(

And the last I heard anything about it was back in early 2009. Not sure if it's still going forward or not.

One thing is for sure...a high speed train from L.A. to Vegas would be phenomenal.

tehHinjew 09-23-2010 05:37 PM

bump any one else?

Its an OTC stock so its kind of sketch

You'd think it would be something that the city of las vegas would be prone to push for, as a huge part of the tourism comes from LA and the only highway between the two is a death trap.

With all the strippers that come from LA to work in Vegas on the weekends can you imagine what that train would look like on a Thursday night? Fucking hell that would rock...

UnUnited 09-23-2010 11:33 PM

I've read before the plan is for the train to run from only Victorville CA to Jean NV. I dont think anyone that has a vehicle would want to even bother taking the trip.
