My email from SKNANB

I emailed the [email protected] address to inquire about when I would get access to my funds, here's the reply:

Quote:

Dear Cardholder,

Thank you for your email regarding your Visa prepaid card. After a short further delay of approximately one week or less you will be provided with information on how to obtain your card balances and access to your card funds.

We will email you with further information regarding this matter and you can always review the SKNANB.com website for further updates as they are released. In addition, we will shortly advise of a dedicated telephone number for support.

Thank you for your patience and continued patronage.

I didn't see anyone post this already, so I thought I'd share.

Pseudonymous 09-25-2010 01:57 PM

Looks more and more like the people will have access to their VV funds before I get access to my wallet funds.

imagearn 09-25-2010 02:18 PM

Had the exact same email :)

Will wait and see, had written off the money already so bonus if I get it back :)

Si 09-25-2010 02:21 PM

Sounds a bit more promising.

If I can deposit all mine into dynadot using vv within the next month or so I will be quite happy :)

Perhaps this from their website is a harbinger of things to come from them? Could all of this be their effort to steal the Epass biz?

Netbank Visa International Debit Card.

Over the years, our customers have become well accustomed to the convenience and choice offered by our debit card. This card gave our customers access to our Automated Banking Service, which enabled them to obtain cash, make deposits, pay bills and loans, carry out balance enquiries and transfer funds between designated bank accounts. Our customers were also able to make payments at the point-of-sale and to gain access to our National Tele-banking Service by calling 1-800-NatBank.

In response to our growing market and our customers' need for financial services that are convenient, flexible, fast and easy to use, we have taken the decision to enhance our already established ATM programmes by bringing you the NatBank International Visa Debit Card. This card performs all of the functions of a regular debit card plus many additional features and benefits.

We have tapped into VISA International's Global Financial Network to bring you a product that is unsurpassed in the Caribbean region. Once again, National Bank is setting the standard by introducing financial services that complement your fast-paced life. We are confident that the NatBank International Visa Debit Card will not only meet your expectations but will also surpass them.

The NatBank International Visa Debit Card allows you to make purchases and ATM cash withdrawals worldwide, using funds available in your account at National Bank. This card offers both the cardholder and the merchant a fast and easy point-of-sale payment process.

So how can people get the funds on their wallet back onto their virtual visa? :)

You can't, epass was totally cut off from the virtual visa funds.

Denny 09-25-2010 03:34 PM

mn 09-25-2010 03:37 PM

True but it won't hurt to have your case logged in their system.

Davy 09-25-2010 03:43 PM

I am not sure. An auto reply would be sent immediately. I received that reply a couple of hours after I sent them an email. Maybe they have a dedicated person who copy and pastes the reply all day?

I got my reply 12 and a half hours after I sent my email, I assumed someone pasted the reply to me.

TeenCat 09-25-2010 03:50 PM

and what do you expect? everyone is asking the same, where is my money, so same reply is expected :2 cents:

Jon Oso 09-25-2010 03:50 PM

That looks like good news though, if it's accurate and not just bank smoke and mirrors.

gumdrop 09-25-2010 03:59 PM

It's becoming more evident that St. Kitts needed to "float" the ePass cash, using the compliance issue as an excuse. Remember they've been trying to bailout TCI bank. Way too many coincidences in this whole time frame of things. IMHO.

Something else about their card:

A minimum charge of $10 in the currency of the card applies for cash advances from other banks' Automated Teller Machines (ATM). Daily withdrawals cannot exceed EC$1000 or its US dollar equivalent.

Guys, when sending email to SKNANB what did you send them, apart from:

- name
- card number (full or last 4 digits?)

Didn't VISA say that the network access got disabled already on September 2nd?

Seems strange that it got disabled twice. Maybe the first time they only disabled some functions (ATM withdrawal and the use of Virtual Visa), and on the 23rd they blocked the cards totally.

Overall, it looks like some people might get access to their funds on their VV afterall.

The 'second time' they disabled the ability for Epass and Epass vv cardholders to view the balance on the cards from within Epass.

on the 2nd, cardholders were blocked from the cards but epassporte could still see the balances.

On the 23rd, the bank cut off epassporte from the visa virtual info.

that's how I understand it at least.

This is strange
"SKNANB prepaid cardholders can expect further communication from SKNANB on or before September 30th 2010."

Why 30th?
END of September...or END ...

fatfoo 09-25-2010 06:20 PM

It sucks when there are delays. I guess most people think about business in the long term. However, many people sure need short term cash. If there are delays of few weeks or months, it seems that interest should be used in cash flow calculations.

18teens 09-25-2010 06:24 PM

That is basically what they told me when I called yesterday.

adult-help 09-25-2010 06:56 PM

It's simple, they became Visa non-compliant so as it's the banks responsibility they are suspending things until they become compliant again ie: another week.

It will all be fine.

BetChips 09-25-2010 10:47 PM

Id fly to St. Kitts and get my VV funds if that was the only way to have access. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they get turned back on. This bullshit could have not came at a better time......... right when I'm buying a home.
