New adult webmaster

Hi all

I am all new in here, great site I must say :thumbsup

Some months ago, I worked for a adult company as a developer and I learned a lot the time I worked for them. Now I want to start my own adult website, I have the website sexillusion dot com, that I want to create a business around, my only litte problem is that all the websites I worked on in the past allready had the content and a lot of trafic.

So my question is, as a newbie, where to start??
Should I make a tubesite, image gallery, blog, cam site??

With best regards
MrDK

You're wanting to START a new site in 2010? That's rough. It's nearly impossible to get traffic these days let alone turn a profit.

MrDK 09-27-2010 07:34 AM

I know it will be rough, and I don't expect to make money from day one, but hopefully in a couple of years from now, I can gain some profit and experience doing this site.

jimmycooper 09-27-2010 10:01 AM

I launched my site on 7/16 after doing a lead in blog that I started at the beginning of June. I'm not doing as well as I thought I'd be at this point, but it hasn't been terrible. Good luck.

I would recommend that, before you decide how you're going to market your stuff, you first decide what you're going to market. You need to put some careful thought into picking a niche. Once you've decided on that and you have an idea of the kind of content available, then you can figure out how you're going to promote it.

Welcome to GFY :)

Whatever you decide, stay away from tubes...

I think the key would be traffic in your early days starting out. If you can get good traffic (quality as well as quantity) then the world is your oyster. Certainly things like cam sites can make you money, but I would generate that money by sending traffic to existing well known cam sites rather than trying to start your own cam site (unless it was a white label. in which case you are still leaving all the back end stuff to the cam site and just concentrating on traffic).
Look at a blog network targetting a specific niche as a good way to start. Blogs are good ways of generating high quality search engine traffic but are also fairly simple to start / run for a newbie.
Ignore the people on here who say it's hard to make money in the industry these days - if you target the right niche and work consistently then you will do just fine - it just isn't like shooting fish in a barrel like it used to be. Good luck :thumbsup

I started about 6 months ago and have been working on creating a huge blog network. I currently have about 30 blogs on domains and about 50 free blogs...and I usually make 1-2 signups a week so about $60/weekly from adult which isn't too bad for starting not to long ago. Once you get blogs in the hundreds and gain a lot of high quality search engine traffic...that's when the real money starts rolling in. You just have to work hard at it and put in a lot of effort.

gladiator6 11-03-2010 08:02 AM

welcome aboard and from me :)

You can make moneys from all niches and from all these :
"tubesite, image gallery, blog, cam site??" The only one think is do you want ??? If you want you will make.... I am sure

I start some blog sites they not working good (poor traffic) I also try with tgp sites they work fair but not enought for me have some tubes good traffic low ratio (start seling traffic) however Try and you will

I also make more than $500 monthly from gallery submitions many webmasters here will tell you submitions are dead but this is not true :) Just try and will see you can make moneys from facebook if you want just must to want , learn and make it :)

Welcome to the board! There is a wealth of information here. Just remember some of this "good advice" is crap. Members posting how cool something is only to find out it's one of their own crappy programs. I do gotta say that for every bit of crap there are 10 real quality people out there that I wouldn't trade for anything. This is a forum that I check on a daily basis, maybe not post but read.
Remember the saying "Always look out for #1 and make sure you don't step in #2 along the way.
Good luck with your new career.

some decent advice there

sexyangela 11-23-2010 05:43 AM

If you are really willing to wait for a gradual promotion, there is no wrong in starting the business and entering the industry. I second purecharlie on his thoughts. First select a niche and start the jobs you are supposed to do.. All the Best:thumbsup

neon19 11-23-2010 05:48 AM

The same here also a newbie.
and i know they can help you a lot;
just like me. i've learned a lot from them.
welcome..

mountequinox 11-23-2010 09:10 PM

Welcome! My only advice would be to do it first and foremost because you enjoy it. If your only going to do it hoping to make a quick buck I think you will find yourself frustrated and end up giving up. If making a quick buck comes second to enjoying what you do then just keep on keeping on and you will reap the rewards down the road. All be it a very long, rough bumpy road.

Hi people!
I am a webmaster of several gambling websites. They have High PR, FEW external links and good ranking in Google! I am interested in link exchange with other websites!
If you are interested in your site promotion, please PM me!

Ooh Tony, Tony, Tony. . take a good look around the forums and settle in before making a post like that in COMPLETELY the wrong place! There is a forum specially for Link Trades where you should post this and highjacking someone else's thread which has nothing at all to do with link trades is definitely not cool :error
