I know every report is going to have a different number, but the reports they have in from the USA is that the average age for internet users watching FREE PORN is... 11 years old.

They showed this figure while they showed images of RedTube.com and YouPorn.com. :Oh crap

No doubt about it. Anyone who leaves an 11 year old kid (or a child of any age) online unsupervised or unfiltered, is asking for problems.

I'm 100% behind parents being parents for a change. Sadly, reality is kids are pretty much on their own these days.

Parents can't expect a unsupervised computer screen (or television for that matter) to be an virtual babysitter. There's too many choices for filters out there.

More reason for folks to help contribute to ASACP and put the RTA label on your landing pages. It may not prevent kids from viewing sites, but it will help with those who have parents who actually put filters on their computers.

The scary part is, if they average age is 11 and this report is only partly accurate, that means kids a lot younger than that are watching porn. Though, I was exposed to porn in the 3rd grade and I turned out.... OK. :upsidedow

I doubt you will find anyone who is actually in the business who would agree with such a report. None of us want to believe we are exposing children to such things.

I have that knee-jerk reaction, just like we all do: "Oh my GOD! They are 11 years old watching PORN! This is the worst thing! They are scarred for life!"

And after thinking about it...I think that if I were 11 years old and saw the more gonzo stuff I wouldn't like it at that age. Same as when I drank my first beer...it tasted HORRIBLE. But now I love the stuff...it became an acquired taste that a kid who is used to eating candy and drinking kool aid wasn't going to enjoy at that age.

I think we have natural filters. And the first thing I would have wanted to see as an 11 year old is....what a woman looked like naked. So I would probably have had very little interest in gonzo porn at that age. I may have looked at it for shock and freak value...but the actual shit I would have had my tiny pre-pubescent cock in my hand for would be totally softcore.

I would have then built up over time to varying tastes...sort of like I did anyway as a teenager/young adult.

Really disturbing that kids in puberty discover porn. They should read the bible and quran instead.

HOWEVER, the difference between all of us looking at stroke mags and old porno against all of these kids today looking at gang bangs, tranny porn, bukkake, double anal, animal sex, abusive sex and other types of sex acts that are not exactly something we all cut our teeth to. I would think some of that is unhealthy for a first exposure.

I looked at porn from 11 years old. Didn't have any negative affect on me. If your kid is socialized they won't turn out to be a rapist or a murderer.
