Text is sure faster to read than recorded talk by sound.
The picture with the pigs around the table is funny.

It's a radio interview, not an article. If you want to stay up on things, google Bob Chapman. He runs www.theinternationalforecaster.com - been a subscriber for 8 years and he's never been wrong an any invest issue. He's golden. :2 cents: My gold/silver mining stocks are up OVER 1,000% over the last 8 years :thumbsup

Bernanke has made it clear he plans to trash the dollar to prop up the market. Government debt is going to be almost entirely monetized (~80%). This is the market reacting. The Eurozone and UK will be attempting to devalue their own currencies as well. Gold could top $10,000 and if that happens I'm buying an island :thumbsup

I don't know about 10k but 5k at least. I'm buying up more silver than Gold though because to me it has more of an upside. It's gone up nearly 200% in 2 years.

ManufacturingMan 10-01-2010 11:33 AM

The way things are heading gold could go to 50,000 and silver over 1,000. Probable? Who knows? Possible? Absolutely in this crazy ass world.nn:2 cents:

I was targeting $5k too, but with Bernanke's latest actions I think it will go well past that. He has shown his cards.

If that happens they will probably make it illegal (again) or tax the shit out of it.

Last time they did that less than 10% turned it in, regardless of the risks. And that is where non-compliance is your patriotic duty :2 cents:

Yeah, but you would not be able to sell it (legally) to realize a profit and transporting it would be quite difficult. Gold was illegal in the Soviet Union too. People with small fortunes in gold often lived in deplorable conditions.

That's a worthy cost to pass on a fortune to your family one day who will outlive such ridiculous laws.

We are going to wake up soon and discover the US dollar had a 30% + haircut overnight.

30% overnight? Doubt it. It's a "controlled" demolition.

ManufacturingMan 10-07-2010 12:42 PM

No, you are wrong, The US dollar, and all global currencies are going DOWN and gold and silver are in the biggest bull run in history. We are in maybe phase 2 of 5 phases and if you are short these metals, you are going to get clobbered. :2 cents: Why would you try to pick when a sector that has been on an 11 year bull market of 20+ percent per year every year would decline? Especially when all the fundamentals that are making them go higher are not just in tact, but getting even BETTER? You sir are wrong. And I'll make sure I bump this post regularly to show that. :pimp
