Go over to next-episode.net

Their ratings, popularity meters and "related shows" are oddly not helpful at all, but the fact that they have a pretty complete list is very helpful.

I generally watch anything that says season 1 episode 1 for at least 5 minutes, found a lot of good shows that way.

Check out Eastbound & Down and Bored to Death on HBO

I concur :thumbsup

Also House MD, Bones and Cougar Town. There's a really funny comedy from UK called "Beautiful People", although I think TV here is airing really old episodes. And if you can, try "The Pillars of Earth" miniseries, it's really amazing :thumbsup

dexter is really high quality. one of my personal favorites of all time. My other top 10 was his previous show 6 feet under. if you like that kind of thing. Not that its my favorite thing but both shows have incredible characters.

the last episode of six feet under i think is the best series finale ever. truly was great, so much build up over the last few years with a great way to finish it.

michael c hall has played some intense characters very well, really impressed with his performances

ok based on that list

burn notice would lead to the following suggestion

covert action
spooks
spooks code nine
intelligence
undercovers (maybe)

leverage

hustle
sherlock
real hustle
scoundrel (haven't seen it but same genre)
psych
mentalist

you must also add dr who to the mix
if for no other reason that dr who (download blink if you like that episode you will like the current stuff, because moffett is head producer of the new seasons)

I've watched every episode of Rubicon but still have no idea what is going on. It never really grabs my attention or reveals enough.

You should definitely watch Breaking Bad, Dexter, True Blood, White Collar, Archer, Damages and Terriers seems like its shaping out to be pretty good.
