ALPHA SKY PRODUCTIONS = most annoying affiliate program evah??

:Oh crap

Do these guys have some sort of emotional imbalance or mental illness?

It is hard to find any other reason for them to be so completely incompetent...

Jdoughs 10-02-2010 03:50 PM

Yeah the suitcase pimp is the guy running the show. (or so it appears).

I think it's generally well known he has the brain capacity of a rock.

A small fucking rock.

Agent 488 10-02-2010 03:54 PM

doubt the girls are part of it anymore or has the opportunity to shoot new content, thus his retard behavior.

Domain Broker 10-02-2010 03:55 PM

run by cam_girls brother.

ThumbLord 10-02-2010 03:59 PM

yep without a doubt

It's her/his business, I guess. But they seem very anti-affiliate. Their policies would have made some sense from 1995 to about 2006 but with Rapidshare and the tubes, complaining about affiliates posting more than four galleries is silly. It's even more ridiculous if you aren't stopping the torrents and surfer forums which contain actual member's area content.

I am an affiliate of them, I follow there rules, I make sales, and I get paid on time. That's better than a lot of other affiliate program out there:2 cents:

You know, recently an affiliate program pissed me off. And they said "If you want to remove us and not make money, do it". All I did was replace their link with another link and I made just as much money. My point is I didn't loose any money, but that program sure did.

Tempest 10-02-2010 06:54 PM

Stop sending them traffic and see how long they keep being morons..

scouser 10-02-2010 07:05 PM

Yes. Most annoying affiliate program ever.

scouser 10-02-2010 07:06 PM

actually ones that don't pay are a 1000 x more annoying.

Just a quick note... We didn't "Close down" our program and burn affiliates like so many site owners do. We don't skim sales and rip people off like so many program owners do.

We have solid 3rd party billing and all our affiliates ALWAYS get paid on time. That is really what this is all about, getting paid.

Come on, how many sites have stolen people's money & shut down over night. We are just trying to survive. Sure we are not perfect but we are working hard to keep sales in our affiliates pockets every year, not just this month.

How many sites go bottom up the first 6 month to 1 year? Like 95% of them?

We are still here, making money for our affiliates. Please don't condem us because of our over promoting rules. It's hard to enforce small rules. We sent emails out to our affiliates, but only a FEW were over posting. That's all. Not a huge ordeal.

So when we get ignored, we simply suspend a few accounts to "shake things up" and get them to make the needed corrections. It's not fair to our affiliates that are promoting correctly that some affiliates can ignore the rules and damage other affiliates future sales.

In regards to public board posting of affiiate links, ie: peachyforum, et al, we are working as well to have them remove the posts. We are not suspending accounts simply because they are in peachy forum. However, we do ask that the affiliate to alter the url with a re direct if the link can not be removed. It's a small bit of effort to ensure long term sales of some very hot content, which all of our affiliates benefit from by selling.

Thank you for reading and understanding our side of the situation.

I know many site owners understand the problems of over promotion. Our affiliates will make more sales in the long run by not over promoting... and that's what it's all about. Making some $$$ to pay the bills.

:)

AlphaSky 10-02-2010 08:14 PM

This is what we are trying to stop for all our sakes. So our affiliates and ourselves can continue making sales.

We love and need our affiliates and must protect them from this type of over promotion.

Even the most reasonable person can see how damaging this is for sales.

There must be some type of control.

Who are these other programs always burning and ripping people off, if you want to bring other companies into the discussion to back up your own actions, DO IT, don't beat around the bush.

I dont mind affilate programmes having rules but have them at the beginning, dont think up new ones every month.

Most boards dont allow a poster to change a post after a small length of time so i doubt affiliates could change the links even if they wanted to - Thats if they can even remember if they posted anything, i post on surfer forums and i'll be damned if i can remember what i posted last week, month or year,

So you pick out that one positive comment out of the myriad of negative ones that you've had and hang your hat on that?

If 100 people told me I was doing something wrong and only 1 said "no, it's fine", I'd probably take a minute and check myself.

1:100 isn't a great ratio when you're talking about affiliate satisfaction. :2 cents:

This is great to hear. I do think the requirements are silly though. I could not imagine too many affiliates happy with this considering a whole load of galleries on 1 page can be ideal for sales also.

Read on another board tonite a guy got termed cause a surfer board had his referral links posted.

That's a guy that PROMOTED you, and SOMEONE ELSE, like a SURFER, bookmarked his affiliate gallery URL's, and posted on a forum.

Get your shit together. I hope he pwns your ass for being so stubbornly incompetent.

cykoe6 10-03-2010 03:14 AM

Yea..... this latest email takes the stupid to a whole new level. Perhaps the whole thing is some elaborate joke?
