Have you turned on FOX lately? You cant watch it for 30 minutes without the Anchors saying buzzwords like "Socialized Medicine" and talking shit in one way or another about "Obamacare" which is in itself is meant as a racist and derogatory term. Fox is constantly saying "Some Say" - "Some say Obamacare will have government agents come to your house and decide if your Grandma should live or die." Lets be honest folks, millions of people are watching this channel all day long and this shit is just pure slander.

The anti-healthcare reform campaign is a bought and paid for CRIME against this nation. You guys who come on GFY with your right wing smear tactics are COMPLICIT IN THIS CRIME...

The effort to defeat Obamacare was funded to the tune of SEVERAL BILLION DOLLARS by the large Health Insurance companies and Big Pharma.

Millions of dollars per DAY were spent by these slimy corporations to defeat Obamacare - their primary outlets were then, and continue to be: Slick Lobbyists, Fox News, Freedomworks and other such Astroturf Criminals creating phony "Movements" like the Tea Party and other ALL WHITE (99.99 percent) Fear and Smear Monger Organizations.

The fact the Health Reform was passed is a testament to the INCREDIBLE NEED for this legislation in this country. Doing nothing is NOT an option in the face of a crisis like this nation is undergoing.

The Tea Party was CONCEIVED, INCUBATED AND INFLICTED on the American People by men like Dick Armey and Rupert Murdoch as a weapon of misinformation to foment the burning hatred of the poor uneducated Red States, and trick them into disliking a health care plan that would benefit nearly ALL OF THEM.

We wouldn't have had the whole healthcare debate, and the Tea Party movement wouldn't be a tenth of the current size but that's about it really. There is nothing much either president can/could do in such a short time to such structural and systemic problems other than the things the republicans proved they would be doing as they left office (bailouts and stimulous). I believe McCain would have been far worse, but you wouldn't really see a lot of the effects until a few years down the track... Roughly when Obama's fucking up of healthcare and financial reform come back to bite him in the ass as well... Basically both parties love bailouts and stimulous when they're in power and they're the main short term economic drivers (interest rates aren't in their control and the tax differences are negligble in this context.)

Everyone in the U.S. has health care and has had for my lifetime (I am in my fifties)...the poor as well as the rich. For the poor it is free...for the middle class...upper middle class...and the rich they purchase insurance if they choose to. Many that can afford to pay for insurance choose not to...and spend their money on other things.

In my case health care is free as I am a disabled Vet...but I also carry private insurance though it is restricted on what it will and will not pay for.

There are emergency rooms...free clinics...semi free clinics...County Hospitals...but more importantly States have medical assistant programs for the poor and working poor. In California it is Medi-Cal...in Oregon it is OMAP...other States would have different names for their medical assistant program. In my life time I have never known anyone to go without medical care.
