People are going to judge you regardless of any point system and basing a opinion on how many dots you have is kinda pointless

How do you know if someone gave you rep? I posted in two threads about people giving rep and I dont think they did.

depends on how they count the votes. For example, if someone with a "good rep" give you a vote either way, it counts for more than say, a new guy who just joined gfy and the biz.

I think its stupid to judge a person based on how many green or red dots they have. I'm gonna ignore it completely and I think that soon everyone will just be ignoring it. I don't even know how to give people rep...

People judge you on what you write. Whether it fits their own agenda. If it does you're great if it doesn't they flame.

I've had 2 people give me rep. Neither did for business reasons.

That goes against the whole concept of an avatar. A avatar of a pic of yourself is not an avatar is called a pic of yourself. What's next, porn stars and strippers using their real names?

I'm actually surprised at how accurate it is with a few exceptions and a few that have worked to manipulate it.

I think it's just something to excite the board for a while. Without 100% participation it isn't relevant.

Well one would have to be pretty stupid to use their real pic then try to scam someone. Also how do we know that is REALLY you in your avatar?

There is the potential for it to be useful but I think as of right now it's more of a toy that people are playing around with.

that's why i said the tendency is lower, i'd never claim that it makes it impossible. Paymonde/MyVirtualCard for example were on here, at shows, invited their clients to dinners etc. and still scammed hundreds of people for their money. impossible is nothing.

I think it is more to see who contributes to the board in a positive way or who trolls people and starts fights.

I think all who troll and start drama when it is not needed will get negatively reped with red.

I can disagree with people and not insult them or attack them when they disagree with me. Trolls on the other hand will will attack you if you disagree with them or you disagree with them.
