Where is the Spotify of this industry?
 

In the last year or so I have noticed a big switch in the attitude of the 'normal' people I know when it comes to downloading music. For most of them, it has come after they have jumped on the Spotify bandwagon. If they could get what they want legally they would rather not steal it and it has become less socially acceptable to do so when they know they can get it in a legit manner. Do we have anything even close to the same vein?

If people can get away with getting something for nothing they will simple as that.

Blockbuster filled for bankruptcy last week.

I've been saying for years freemium (spotify) is the way to go with porn. Not seen anyone try it properly though.

Clearly but the Spotify model is attempting to adapt to the 'I want it now and I want it free' modern mindset while still being a profit making venture. Now, if they are actually making money I have no idea. However, I do know that even in the last few months alone I have watched as the people I know have paid for the Spotify premium account so they can use the Iphone APP. Somehow, it is making people take the mental leap to pay for convenience on a product they were stealing a year ago.

The tubes will take that role.
