Do many other email clients group emails like gmail does?

I've always *only* used gmail since it came out, and have gotten used to the threaded thing it does (grouping messages with same subject/to same people), which is handy when emailing something, then emailing again with a sentence or two.

For people without this grouping, its probably a pain to read each email one by one...do many other popular email clients/sites (eg hotmail) have a similar feature?

There is a plug-in for Outlook that will do it. It was pretty slick but seemed resource intensive when I used it, maybe it's improved or there is a better product available somewhere.
