What would be nice regarding epass...

Still havn't seen MIDDLE MEN!!!!

and really want to.....

I lost a few bucks - oh well, it happens... not like I haven't lost money before LOL

but honestly - it sure would be nice to be able to download MiddleMen somewhere......

I did kinda think we all did pay for it in way already......

Chris - can you leave us on a happy note and maybe set up a one time download of the movie for everyone who had money in epass visa? I'd call it even if I got that and be more than happy......

I really just want to see the movie!!!!!!!

quiet 10-05-2010 12:21 AM

It's not going to happen. Here a comparison:

"There will be blood" box office:
Budget: $25,000,000 (estimated)
Opening Weekend: $302,845 (USA) (30 December 2007)
Gross: $40,218,903 (USA) (27 April 2008)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0469494/

So even if the box office was miserable, there is a chance that the movie will make a turn-around.

I saw "Middle Men", here is my review:

Check out Hollywood Mogul wanna be Producer Chris Mallick wearing a shirt with "It's Good to be King" imprinted:

http://hollywood-elsewhere.com/image...gallochris.jpg

I actually saw "Middle Man" on the last day that it was shown in the Bay Area (a few weeks or so after it debuted). There were less than 10 people in the theater.

The cast and production values were not bad at all.

What I was most disappointed with however, is the portrayal of the adult industry that Christopher Mallick presented.

First of all, he portrayed the character playing himself in this "based on a true story" bio-flick, as some sort of hapless victim, that is unwittingly and unwillingly drawn into the adult industry.

His story then unravels with this ridiculous plot...

According to "Middle Men", Paycom founders, Clay Andrews and Joel Hall, are coked-out degenerate idiots, who were ultimately convicted of felonies and sentenced to jail for their involvement in child porn.

Meanwhile, Mallick's character is instrumental in capturing/killing legions of terrorists as a result of his own involvement in porn. Yeah, right.

Apparently, the Chris Mallick character also is unindictable and bulletproof in his supposed involvement with the Russian mob and a murder which he shown as having a part in, as well as the shooting of another person at a party, with multiple witnesses.

Any suspended disbelief has by now, been permanently suspended. Only an idiot or oblivious egotist could make a movie this implausibly bad.

To add drama to this already vacuous plot, Mallick interjects how he was seduced by a lone porn girl into infidelity with his wife, but then ends the movie suggesting that he left the adult industry to return to his wife and family, when in real life, Chris Mallick remained in the industry until he drove ePassporte into the ground over the past few days, and while in fact, his wife divorced his sorry ass long ago.

If anyone trusts this lying sack of shit with their money again, either in adult or Hollywood, get ready to be taken for a ride by this greedy, selfish, and cowardly, egotistical charlatan.

Do you understand the difference in "based on a true story" and a "true story"?

I have seen many movies "based on a true story" that had little to do with the truth. They are Hollywood movies and are supposed to be designed for entertainment.

ffmihai 10-05-2010 02:09 AM

nice review ADG thanks.

V_RocKs 10-05-2010 02:54 AM

The shitty part is that Joel and Clay are actually good guys. Not that Chris isn't/wasn't. But portraying them as CP'nographers and what not is kind of crossing the line in my humble opinion.

DWB 10-05-2010 03:07 AM

If there is one time when everyone should steal a movie, it is right now.

Paul Markham 10-05-2010 03:13 AM

Apparently he's making another film.

Columbus Circle (2010) - Full cast and crew

georgeyw 10-05-2010 03:17 AM

So how much money did Mallick actually make before Epassporte?

He seems to have invested money into a shitload of movies

SleazyDream 10-05-2010 11:03 AM

shit happens sometimes beyond our control - if the wallets are paid out and the visa money is eventually unfrozen - and these things take time - what would be your beef with chris?

That Mallick was too busy making movies to tend to his ePassporte biz so that this mess didn't happen in the first place.

Oh, and that he didn't bother making an effort to explain what precisely happened.

In another thread there was a screenshot of Chris's Facebook where he posted about being in Cabo the week after everyone's ePassporte accounts were frozen:

I guess he had plenty of time to party and live it up in Cabo, but no time to come clean about what led to the problem, let alone fix it. :disgust
