It's really that difficult to be a customer support agent?

Hmm let's see what's on my agenda today:

answer a few emails :uhoh

get my dick sucked by lonely webmasters that want first priority :uhoh

try to understand what the supervisor at our indian customer support center is saying :uhoh

login to icq and over-ride verification document issues for a few whiney webmasters :uhoh

find some posts on gfy and respond to them in a professional manner :uhoh

wow! his job is really complicated... seriously congrats to him for being a relatively reliable account rep where as the majority of adult-industry :uhoh cronies are unreliable fuckwards :thumbsup but even more amazing than that is how everyone thinks it's such a difficult job or that he did an amazing job of being "satisfactory" :uhoh

_Richard_ 10-05-2010 07:43 AM

again, best of luck and congrats on a job well done to the best of your ability

richart3 10-05-2010 08:23 AM

Umm, I think given the nature as well as the scale of the situation he handled himself superbly. I do not know of one person I know that could have kept their calm and cool as well as he did throughout this clusterfuck of a situation.

He could have just as easily said fuck you to Epass and thrown himself out of the loop entirely... and not one person here would have blamed him. Instead, he stood up like a man and relayed the news as he was told and took every low blow thrown at him like a gentleman.

People like that are very far and few between. When God made Michael he broke the mold. In this business it's very easy to call somebody "stand up" or "top notch". In Micheal's case he is deserved of both of those compliments, where as most of the time it's just hot air. :thumbsup

HBKKH 10-05-2010 08:33 AM

does the aff manager position still exist?

Coming from you this post means a lot. I celebrated my unemployment by getting drunk and promised I wouldn't make one post but I just had to answer this one.

Thanks :)

I think he handled himself quite well in the nature of this situation as well, but people have been kissing Michael O's ass for the past few years - and it's sickening because at the end of the day it's not really that he was doing anything more than what his job was - it's just that people know ass-kissing is more likely to get them what they need when it came to epassporte's otherwise shitty pakistani support center.

ContentPimp 10-05-2010 09:20 AM

You are probably the same asshole customer that doesn't tip his waiter or waitress because, you know... fuck, they are just doing the job they were hired to do. :2 cents:

He did an exceptional job, something most "satisfactory" CSRs don't know anything about. At odd hours of the day and night he kept watch on the board to get "whiney webmasters" the answers and soluions they needed. You probably slept through all that.

And he stayed visible to the end, You would have bailed at the start of all this mess.

Again, Thanks Michael!

uglyduckling 10-05-2010 10:13 PM

michael most likely got paid royally for his babysitting the site while bozo the clown was on the beaches of cabo tanning his balls....michael was at the helm promising you that chris is swimming and not sinking.......michael told you all what you wanted to hear, but michael was told an paid to do that, and most likely with some of your monies.

some of you would have initiated the wire transfers earlier if michael didn't tell you chris will rise above the water...michael knew what the deal was but played it exactly how the boss told him....michael working for the place 5 years and had no questions about anything, ever wonder why michael lasted 5 years at his job.
just sayen

Thats says a lot for epassporte, no offense to Michael O, as he was in a tough spot. But as a webmaster. How do you trust your money in a company that only has 1 source of information. People put tons of money into a company that you can basically only talk to someone over the internet. That usually is not a good sign.

Everyone in this business does most of there business via IM Client or Email. What ever happened to a real business relationship where you can call someone up on the phone. Where you knew there name, not there board nick. A lot of people here trust people they know nothing about. I think if people would do more of this. A lot less people would get hurt.

just how tight was that spot while clown is suntanning in cabos?...he did a job he was paid to do......it does not mean it was right though....maybe to a handful of wallets, or the loudest noise makers..

I know that was his job. I am not praising him for that. He had the second worst job in this industry next to janitor at a bukakke party. What I was trying to say is that if I can only get a good service out of one employee from a company that holds a lot of funds for a lot of people. I would be a little worried from the get go. I am a US based webmaster. I get checks sent to me because it is not a big deal. So I didn't use epass for that function. I got minimal payments to it to pay for services - traffic, design etc. So I never really needed support. I also guess people here have low expectations from customer service reps. When people do what they are supposed to they get high praises.

MOST OBVIOUS SIGN OF A SCAM!

If MO died of a heart attack when Epass was still working at taking your money, what faith would you have then?
