Let's destroy Chris Mallicks chances of making any money off his movies

I know a lot of people are angry at Chris Mallick for the whole epassporte ordeal but have no way of 'getting back' at him or his company. This may be childish and silly, but it's something, it's legal and it may actually cause some harm where it hurts, the bank account.

The rundown
- Most people I know will check IMDB ratings before watching / buying a movie, this is especially true for small and unknown productions. I noticed that Chris Mallick's movie Middle men got a score of 6.6. This is a good score and will not turn people away from the movie.

What I want when potential viewers checks imdb to see if middle men is worth watching (I don't care if it actually is, I did not see it) they will be faced with a real shitty score that will make them turn away in disgust and watch something else instead.

Why? - People will not buy the movie or rent it causing a financial loss to Chris Mallick's company.

How? - Register on IMDB and rate the movie a score which you think it deserves. I recommend a solid 1.

Right now I only see 417 votes so the score should be pretty easy to change with enough gfy'ers doing it.

Petty and childish, but a good way for the silent anonymous masses to make a point.

Voted :)

Sly 10-05-2010 08:17 AM

I'm pretty sure that Goonies 5 was more successful than Middlemen, I wouldn't worry about it.

chronig 10-05-2010 08:19 AM

Horrible thread. Lock + ban user.

Waste of time trying to affect sales when nobody even wants to steal it.

baddog 10-05-2010 08:31 AM

I think the lack of theaters showing it will do more harm than your idea, Duck.

I do the same when I go to a theatre...check what movies are playing and check their imdb score before choosing one.

I usually read the review and ignore the score.

Then if the reviewer loved it decide i'll watch something else :upsidedow

The Duck 10-05-2010 09:14 AM

Looks like many decided to give me bad rep here instead of the movie, oh the irony!

sexdatesj 10-05-2010 09:16 AM

Call his movie company, PR firm.. everyone involved in the film and demand your money!

That will get some results.

The irony? The irony of trying to organize fraud with intention to cause financial harm to others and getting bad rep? You need to look up irony in the dictionary

eye for an eye :winkwink:

Davy 10-05-2010 09:34 AM

I think writing reviews about the movie could affect it more.
Also, I don't want to register there.

DaddyHalbucks 10-05-2010 09:37 AM

Mallick will have to pay back the money. There is no point in trying to sabotage his movie.

flashfire 10-05-2010 09:40 AM

I'll give him a chance to return my money...clock is ticking though

punkpred 10-05-2010 09:48 AM

With all the cash he swiped from us, he can buy an island and forget about us all and his movies.

Most people don't care who the producer is. They care about the director.

WiredGuy 10-05-2010 01:16 PM

Considering the movie isn't available on dvd (yet) and had such a small release on the big screen, I wouldn't worry about people thinking about watching it as those who want to watch it, can't even get their hands on it.

I have a better idea for mallick. I am going to fly to LA for a week before his next big embarrassing flop premiers. I am only going to eat burritos and schlitz malt liquor every day. I am not going to shit for 6 days. On the night of the flop movie opening I am going to take a big nasty shit in a burlap sack. The kind of big smelly shit bigfoot would gag on. I am going to wear my tux down to the red carpet and then hit that fat tub of shit right on the head with my bag of bigfoot shit!

pornmasta 10-07-2010 07:43 AM

not a good idea.

I can't believe I read all the way to the bottom of this thread.

minicivan 10-07-2010 08:44 AM

These threads are best left to 4chan. And when that group decides to start shit with someone, it is usually a world class effort.

pornmasta 10-07-2010 08:54 AM

Did you know that once mallick crushed a cat with his BIG HUMMER ?

;) ;) ;)
