I don't get it...

from what I can tell from watching 35 second of that clip it's because their traffic lights go red, yellow, green and not the standard green yellow red

Btw. that was the longest suspect pursuit I have ever seen :D, it's like 1:1 - no cuts, cam following real-time, just compare the dynamic of this to some current Hollywood movie lol.
