Tip for finding your VV number.
I didn't have mine copied down, and last night I decided to surf around a few of my registrars/hosts and mock clicking through a payment.
Sure enough the 2nd one I tried had a 'shitty' payment form and double clicking the card # dropped down my number in dropdown selection box. If you can't find it, go to a few places you used it and see if it's cached/cookied to you. |
Some point of sales receipts also show the full number. So go over hosting bills, domain purchases, confirmation emails and so on. It's listed on quite a few places. If I remember correctly, the first 6 digits of the card number is the same for everyone, so it should be: 4689 04xx xxxx xxxx

If you withdrew money from vv into your bank account in the past do you think you could get the number from your bank?
|
I just checked my previous transactions and it does show the last 4 digits of the card.

Obviously would need to be somewhere you've run it before. |

Thats 999 999 different combinations. That will take a good while and mya get your account locked. Would probably be easier to locate more places where you have used the card. |

Those numbers are stored in your browser cache and they can be sniffed with a simple browser exploit. |
Also if you EVER used any form filling software like Roboform well there ya go. Also it may be in IE's memory for filling out a form. So indeed try to buy somthing you maybe bought before online.
Also did you delete the email? Or ever back up the email folder. Also get "Restoration Version 2.5.14" (great free prog to recover deleted files with a search feature) and do a search. Maybe it is still sitting on the HD somewhere. Its poss. Take you 5 mins to find out. Search: epass (Bingo!) Also get on the phone to St Kitts. Number and info here: https://www.sknanb.com/message.htm They can prob resend it to your email on record. |
btw the credit card number seems to be the same from a year to another.
Only the expiration date and the CVV2 number seems to change. |

good tip btw do you know a good software to find files (and search into files's content)? |
I just talked to the bank (checking my balances).
I asked them what people should do if they did not have their VV card numbers. She said they should have got an email from St. Kitts and epass should have given them numbers. I explained that the epass site is closed and no one can get at those numbers. She said in that case, call them, and they should be able to look it up by your name. They answered the phone quickly, and for once, were very helpful. |
Esperons qu'ils parlent le français parce mon anglais c'est du petit negre.
|
Edit: See wyldblyss post above, best bet. :)

But that will instantly tell you file names on all drives. You could search virtual, epass, visa, number, ect and maybe find it somewhere. |
