Lou Dobbs employed illegal immigrants
The liberal Nation magazine, in a yearlong investigation conducted with the Investigative Fund at the Nation Institute, found that "Dobbs has relied for years on undocumented labor for the upkeep of his multimillion-dollar estates and the horses he keeps for his 22-year-old daughter, Hillary, a champion show jumper."

Do I dare ask if they created fake id's

"At least five illegal immigrants have reportedly worked on his properties"
Show some solid evidence, that he knew/hired them himself. He cant possible check subcontractors if they are using illegal immigrants. THEN - and only then - might you have a case. If anything this only support Lou's view on illegal immigrants being a widespread problem. |
And why would anyone give 2 shits about this gatah?
|
if it turns out Lou knew about any of this it is going to be some trouble for any political plans he had...

You can tell this guy got all bent out of shape about illegals. I would be shocked if he knew they were illegal. However, you can't put anything past anyone.
|
None of them worked directly for Lou Dobbs but companies that where subcontractors...like this isn't going on all over the US. What a shocking revelation the The liberal Nation magazine has come up with here, good job on telling us about the obvious problem we already knew about.

I have some issues with the reporting here.
Did Lou Dobbs hire these people and did they work directly for him, meaning he cut them a paycheck, or did they work for a landscaper or other company? My landscaper was just here two minutes ago, and I don't know if they are legal or not. I don't think legally I have the right to check their "papers" or documentation, just in the same way I can't walk into a Wal Mart and ask to their documentation. If Dobbs hired a landscape company to take care of his properties / horses, then they've got nothing on him. If Dobbs hired them himself, they worked directly for him, he cut them a paycheck, and HE KNEW they were illegal it's a huge problem for him because of the fact he's a reporter and because of his public stance on the issue. However, hiring someone who appears legal and turning a blind eye to someone you know is illegal is two different matters. But at the end of the day what does it matter? Even if we can prove he did it and knew they were illegal, what's he gonna get? A small fine? |
Lou Dobbs response-
Former CNN talk show host Lou Dobbs, who is known for his hard line on illegal immigration, today denied that he has ever hired illegal immigrants. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...html?tag=stack |
he'd have to be the dumbest most naive person ever if he didn't know, I think it's obvious he had to know and just turned a blind eye out of his own convenience
most politicians can be hypocrites anyways, they flow with what is best for their own bottom line at the moment |
legal or not legal - it just virtual goverment thing
|
Dobbs, who called the story a "fairly typical hit piece, a smear piece," interviewed the reporter behind the story, Isabel Macdonald, on the radio show. He repeatedly asked Macdonald if he or his company had ever hired illegal immigrants.
Macdonald eventually allowed that Dobbs and his company had not - but she said that his contractors had done so. She pressed Dobbs on why he had not checked the status of the workers. |

Is there any truth to the rumor about the affair that Lou Dobbs supposedly had with an illegal Mexican donkey? ADG |
