Paypal for medium and large affiliates

I'm a full time adult webmaster for 5 years. I promote many programs. I'm from Europe. I'll never use Paypal to receive affiliate payouts. I'll never risk my money being frozen for 180 days, just for no reason. And I don't think any medium and large professional adult affiliate will use Paypal to receive payments from all his sponsors. Paypal is not going to be the porn industry payment standard.

I don't want to use a payment system where I need to hide the fact that I'm an adult webmaster that is selling porn. The same thing with hosting, say Paypal offered a hosting service, would you host your adult paysites on Paypal's hosting? I don't think so. I'll host with Mojohost, Natnet, Isprime, Swiftwill, Amerinoc, etc.

Paypal is very big company that doesn't really need or care about adult affiliate customers (history proves this). Adult affiliates are not their customer base. Their revenue and profit does not rely on that customer base. What do we do if after 1-2 years they decide to cut us off?

Paypal doesn't give a shit about anyone. Paypal + Ebay is the largest single fencing operation in the world. Police forces across Canada have full time employees surfing Ebay for stolen goods, and I doubt they catch more than a small percentage of the thieves selling their wares on Ebay.

If I was a theif, I would put my wares on Ebay before I hit up a local fence or pawnshop. Very little chance I'll be caught. Of course, selling titty pics will get my account locked, but breaking into your house and selling your wife's earrings? Good to go.

Paypal shut down my account (non adult) years ago, but I can still log into my Paypal account and purchase stuff. The last thing I bought through Paypal was the PC game "Torchlight" - about a year ago.

It may take awhile, but I think there's a hard fall a'coming.

Given what happened to epass (not just the recent death, but progressive tightening of regulations over the years) how do you know another p2p company isn't going to suffer the same fate?

When epass started they were advertising numbered cards as a feature - no names needed... try doing that in 2010. :2 cents:

Paypal is terrible even for a regular payment system. Yesterday I've sent $150, today I try to send another $150 for something else and I get an error:

"This transaction exceeds your remaining sending limit. Please return to the merchant's website, and use another payment method."

I remember another time, when I paid for a software product from a popular website, and after a week I wonder why my software stops working. When I checked it was because my license was canceled, then I emailed the software support, and they say I haven't paid. So I logged to my Paypal account and I see the transaction was canceled by Paypal and the money was refunded to my credit card (this was all done without my knowledge, paypal didn't even sent an email about this). So I had to buy the software again, this time using a different payment method.

I would imagine if a sponsor sends say $300 by Paypal, will Paypal say "This transaction exceeds your remaining limit". No way I'm using paypal for anything anymore.
