I was screaming like a 12 year old girl on Christmas morning when Rivers fumbled and it was returned for a TD. I might be able to break out the Raider shirt and not be ashamed to wear it this year.

DigitalTheory 10-10-2010 05:23 PM

ugh dont even get me started on the cowboys lol

Horny Dude 10-10-2010 07:37 PM

Fucking Chargers looking so bad this year. Two blocked punts and then a fumble on the one yard line are you kidding me!!!

I found it amazing they actually considered it a fumble...how is the ball going forward there if his arm isn't going at least a little forward at the time the ball is coming out of his hand? Hell, the commentators, crowd, and even many of the players looked like they were just waiting for the whistle to be blown. Kind of reminded me of the opposite of how Raiders got robbed by the infamous "Tuck Rule" in playoffs vs. the Patriots many years back.

Oh well - Raiders played well enough to deserve the victory. Congrats on Floyd having the game of his life despite the loss.

You guys mention this but ignore Doc Halladay's no hitter in the MLB playoffs. I'll never understand you Americans.

Baseball (not football), hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet, byatches.

alessergod 10-10-2010 08:01 PM

No undefeated teams left. And my Cowboys are sucking it big time this year.

How many no-hitters/perfect games were there this year? Seriously, I realize it had only been done once before in history but it wasn't at all surprising given how the year has gone and who did it. You realize he threw a PERFECT game earlier this year? That was a lot more noteworthy than simply a no-hitter.

That said, it's clear there are more football fans than baseball fans in the US...that's not new either. Plus I believe the Raiders' losing streak against the Chargers was one of the worst in sports, so it IS noteworthy that they won, and was a pretty good game overall.

Panthers and Bills are looking worthless too. The Bills are the new Bengals IMO...year in and out they seem pretty pathetic now.

i had high hopes for them, pre-season they looked pretty decent.

Dallas is a fucking joke. Each and every year people say you will win just because they are the highest selling team thus makes it better for business.

no one actually thinks they will win except for their idiot fans.

That where you are wrong my friend, we actually are skepical of their chances each year, especially as long as Jones ownership tenure goes on. 99% of the cowboy fans I know think he sucks. The network sportcasters talk it up big to get people hyped and keep thier aura going for the cowboys tend to sell more shit than any other team and have some of the best ratings.

not to mention the fact they have a terrific line up of talent.

I am disappoint.

I actually watched every minute of Halladay's no hitter. I pulling for Philly. I am a Mariner fan and one of the Phillies is a long time Mariner Raul Ibanez. I would love to see him get a World Series ring.

It was a stellar performance that is for sure.

I have to admit I thought the same thing. Right as it happens my brother calls me up and says "Brady tuck rule in effect?"

dyna mo 10-10-2010 10:50 PM

raiders are back baby!

pamon 10-11-2010 12:27 AM

i've been a huge chargers fan for years, but this years team is a disgrace. special teams are a joke and WAY too many fumbles. Today's loss makes me want to toss my chargers jersey for the year.

FWIW starting crappy is nothing new to them. I still think they have time to make a good season of this, and while they don't seem to have all cylinders firing at the same time in games like this (running attack was pretty weak it seemed and special teams is obviously pretty damn shitty right now), at least Floyd really stepped up in this game. They really needed someone other than Gates to be a deadly option without VJ in the mix, and Floyd definitely seems worthy. I chalk this loss up to law of averages more than anything...sooner or later we were going to finally lose to the Raiders. Later would have been nicer but given the start of the season thus far, this loss wasn't that much of a surprise, though this loss makes us 0-2 inside the division which is definitely not good. Yea both were on the road but still...

Anyways, as with all recent seasons, how they do regular season means nothing as long as they make the playoffs...once they DO make they playoffs though, they just need to make it to a freakin' Super Bowl for once - even if they lose in it. It's pathetic they never made it with one of the most talented RBs of all time and 2 pro bowler QBs...now post-Tomlinson while they still have a strong offense, they HAVE to make it at least ONCE. They are capable of it - they just need to fucking do it this time.

steve90 10-11-2010 12:44 AM

They have to win once in a blue moon i guess

dynastoned 10-11-2010 01:15 AM

!!!!!!!!!!!

now i can say something good about my team for once. lol

I have said it in the past and will continue to say it until I am proven wrong. Any team with Norv Turner as the head coach will never win a Super Bowl. The guy is a great offensive coordinator, but he sucks as a head coach.
