Senapssill from Ikea
 

Saw the Swedish foods section at Ikea the other day and grabbed a bottle of Senapssill (Herring in mustard sauce)

Fuckin tasty! Eating it with some crackers.. Cost $2.99, good stuff.. I'll try more from there next time I go for sure.

I like their food

Their meatballs are like crack...

try the "julsil" (christmas herring) they should have it in stock now, is with beetroot and completely rocks! Being half swedish I was brought up on this stuff, if you can handle fishy and salty try Kalles Kaviar this is a smoked salted cods roe product in what looks like a large tooth paste tube... this is breakfast for millions of swedes, along with a cup of coffee some cheese and a Snus!

We like to eat that kind of stuff in the summer and during christmas. There are a ton of varieties over, It's all good!

to get the true authentic feel of it you should buy one of their "snaps" too (dont know if they have this everywhere though) - at christmas people normally eat the herring products and "send them on their way" by drinking a shot of "snaps"..

warning you will probably get drunk rather quickly.

there stuff is pretty good, cant really complain. only downside is the closest one is over 90 minutes from my house

Hehe, you eat it with crackers? you should eat it with potatoes. But as long as it tastes good I guess it doesn't matter. :)
